Eunbi still vividly remembered the way she and Yoongi had parted their ways on a bad, irreparable note. The male had been a strong nut to crack, since the beginning. Because of how he had to endure all the hardships alone only to rise brighter than the North Star later on, he had come to despise people who could not stand for themselves. He did not like those whose nature was relatively submissive.

That was why he had abandoned Eunbi as well, for if your other half only tends to drag you down, it is undoubtedly better to let go of them than to live a life filled with suffocation.

The corners of Eunbi's lips drooped as she recalled the tragic end that they had to meet. She was definitely oblivious about it, but the one occupying the desk next to her for sure had noticed her change of expression in a jiffy.

"Here, would you like to have some of  this?" The man sitting adjacent to the table that Eunbi had been assigned, asked, extending a neatly wrapped rice-ball towards her.

Eunbi got startled, but she was not exactly pleased. Of course, the man had hindered her favorite hobby of daydreaming about Yoongi.

"Sorry?" Eunbi raised her brow, clearly unwilling to accept the little gift that the man was trying to offer her.

She glanced scornfully at the food item in his hands before sparing a look at him as well. That was the moment when Eunbi had figured out that she surely was going to regret her behavior afterwards.

With eyes so perfectly aligned and a slender nose, his rosy lips were having quite a competition in standing out. His face was small, almost as tiny as a fist, which made him look even more attractive. As some of the strands from his long hair flailed near his eyes, Eunbi knew that there was no way she could escape without being spellbound by him.

When the male reacted to her staring for too long at him with a smile so gratifying, she realized the very moment she would have fallen for him if Yoongi had never existed in the first place.

"What's with me and my obsession for cat-faced men?" Eunbi muttered under her breath, slapping her cheek slightly to bring her senses back.

"Have some." The unnamed man mentioned the real talk once again, which prompted Eunbi to ask him something that she would have otherwise wished she had not.

"Why are you so friendly towards me? Are you gonna boss me around? Is that your intention?" She asked with all the seriousness that she could accumulate, surprising the man as she had expected.

"I think an introduction is very much required here..." He trailed off, sticking out his hand towards her in anticipation of a handshake, and flashing an endearing smile yet again, "I'm Go Bomin, a lieutenant in this humble police station. Well, I'm joking. It's actually a very big station, it's also called the second-biggest of Seoul from time to time. Consider yourself lucky to have been given the opportunity to join as a staff. Also, Yoongi is the best leader. You will never feel troubled while working here. And you are...?"

"Nam Eunbi. It's my first time working anywhere in general so please help me get through it. I'll be so grateful." Eunbi smiled as she completed, making her face appear less dull than the times when she would just have a poker face on.

"Let's talk more after so—" Bomin got interrupted by another staff as she approached him to relay Yoongi's message of seeing him in his chamber immediately.

"Captain Min wants to see you, sir. He was talking about organizing some team meetings... I don't know." The person said as she began to turn confused, causing Bomin to giggle at the new recruit's naivety.

"She's new too. I think that the two of you will make good friends. Help each other out, alright?" Bomin addressed the both of them for one last time before leaving for Yoongi's office.

The Korean flag on the wall right behind his seat was one of the many things in Yoongi's office that had always grabbed people's attention, not to mention the uncountable accolades and trophies which glorified his room even more. There he was sitting, with hands clasped together and placed on the table top, as if the only important task for him right then was to discuss with Bomin. With a side gaze, he followed Bomin entering into his office and acquiring a seat right in front of him. The moment Yoongi sensed that it was about time he could ask him questions, he began to bombard.

"How does the new recruit look to you?" Yoongi asked in a raspy voice, pretending to focus on the files scattered before him.

"She's a bit... outlandish, I must say? She'll do good once taught properly." Bomin remarked crisply, nodding his head as he waited for Yoongi's input.

"What about her name? Her background?" Yoongi inquired whilst fixing a pen between the tips of his fingers.

"Her name is Nam Eunbi, and as much as I remember from her resume, she's from Daegu, I guess." Bomin briefed Yoongi, leading the latter to widen his eyes in utter shock.
