"Yeah, I've kind of figured out what must have happened back there..." Yoongi's voice faltered, uncertainty lacing the same. After letting out a huff that displayed plain confusion, Yoongi eventually shrugged the ill-feeling off his mind as he shook his head.
"Are you alright, Captain? I mean, I understand how big of a loss it must be fo—"
"Juhui forgot to switch off the car. That overworked the car's machinery and led it to get severely heated up. It must be your misfortune to be around the car at that time. I'm sorry you had to face such things during your first week of work itself." The corners of Yoongi's lips were about to droop, but he managed to straighten up his face.
Being a person with no background— whose life's only axis was his own self— Yoongi was utterly heartbroken over the fact that he had ended up losing his first car because of someone else's carelessness. Moreover, to amplify his pain, one of his subordinates got severely injured too, making him question his own leadership. It was indeed a taxing time for Yoongi.
"Really? Is that so? What about the witnesses, the cameras? Were there none?" Eunbi blurted out and transformed every possibility of her being perceived as a suspect into questions, playing the game safer than ever.
"Apparently, yes. Also, the car was on so there's no practical reason out there to go looking for a potential convict." Yoongi rocked his head slightly as he upped his shoulders, making it clear that he had no intentions of turning his time and energy into something futile.
"Do you really mean that?" Eunbi asked in a mellower voice, comforting Yoongi successfully as a faint smile appeared on his face.
"Yes, don't worry. I'll sue my insurance company in case they don't pay me back a good sum of money... so yes, I mean it." He bobbed his head in admission, face reflecting a delicate combination of merry expressions.
"Ah also," Yoongi took a pause as he began to retrieve a paper from the insides of his jacket and continued, "since I had no information about your family, I had given my details in place of your guardian's. This application form... you can use it to edit the details. So, am I good to go then?" Yoongi beckoned his thumb towards the exit while still facing the same with his back.
A trace of concern about Eunbi doing alright on her own in case her desired guardian did not show up, considering all the circumstances, was quite evident on Yoongi's face. And he did not even try to mask it this time.
"I don't have anyone to look after me..." Eunbi replied back hesitantly, although she could see where all this was heading. Knowing Yoongi to the soul, she was sure that the former would step up selflessly if there happened to be such a situation; a situation of anyone being neglected and left alone.
Yoongi, for sure, was a self-dependent person who had never asked for favors. But he was not cold hearted either. He had as much empathy for others as normal people did. However, Yoongi always sought to remain detached from this chain of taking and returning obligations. But for a person who otherwise abstained himself from the said involvements, he had been acting way too much compassionate towards others lately. And Eunbi could not help but wonder that what in particular made him undergo such a drastic change.
"You live alone here? Or do you not—"
"I don't have a family." Eunbi made it succinct, rendering Yoongi unable of saying something back.
With her eyes stuck on the form for a little while, Eunbi did not realize the exact moment when she had drifted away to a little reverie from her past.

"So, how did you end up being here?" Eunbi asked Yoongi whilst feasting on a cupcake that she had just made for herself and the latter.
Upon hearing the question, Yoongi instinctively shifted his gaze from the beauty sitting beside him, to the beauty that laid in front of him. The care home that they lived in was situated in the midst of the hills of Daegu, providing them with a wildly unimaginable scenic beauty. With Geumho river's crystal clear water and tranquilizing aura, Yoongi's attempt at drawing in the serene milieu became exceptionally easier than he had thought it would be. Even after sitting at so much height from the river valley, he would always find it impossible to restrain himself from getting mesmerized by such natural marvel.
Beauty brings along with itself pain as well, and mayhap Yoongi had forgotten about that.
The small family which consisted of himself, and his parents, would never have guessed to be torn apart in such a gruesome way. The meandering roads which had held Yoongi in awe, were also the reason why he had to live in the care home in the first place too. After all, a spontaneous outing meant for vacationing and getting refreshed from the monotonous work routine never seemed like an option that could kill. At least to little Yoongi and his family.
At least until the option became the reality.
"My mom and dad died in a car accident while we three were going on a small camping trip. And I unfortunate— luckily survived." Yoongi forced a smile, causing Eunbi to clench her heart in the same manner that Yoongi must have been doing too, all those years.
