Back in her comparatively humbler town of Daegu, Eunbi had not yet grown accustomed to the concept of rooftop lawns. But it seemed to her that being taken aback at the sight of those might give an idea of her being a countryside bumpkin, which she absolutely was not. The bald heads of almost every skyscraper of Seoul were adorned with these refreshing elements, and all she could do was to hope herself getting used to such artificial beauty as quickly as she could.

Finding herself in the midst of a few systematically arranged chairs as she hopelessly leaned onto the railing, Eunbi had eventually figured out that it was no longer advantageous for her to be before time.

"Even on time is deemed as late. They don't value their time to the slightest." She mumbled distastefully, fetching out her phone from her pocket.

The time displaying sporadically on her lockscreen suggested otherwise, though. She had spent so much time by herself, roaming around and tirelessly judging people who had showed up at the same place— even having the same purpose of killing their time as hers— that she eventually lost track. Rushing down the stairs as if her life depended on her pace, she bowed before the café owner who was seated at the reception, before taking off for her workplace that stood adjacent to the very structure.

She basically jabbed her identity card upon the scanner before readying herself to rush into the station for one final time. As she located herself to be in the right space, she sighed out of relief, eventually bending down to rest her palms on her knees.

"You're late..." A voice trailed off, anticipating to exchange looks with the addressed one. As Eunbi caved in and peeked with one of her eyelids open, the voice continued, "Technician Nam?"

"Uh yes, that's me." Eunbi chuckled awkwardly as she picked up, "As for being late, I'm sorry but it's just my first day, please be lenient!" And there she went bowing whole ninety degrees before the senior police officer, on top of that accompanying it with a voice so sharp that grabbed everyone's attention.

The officer clicked her tongue in fake disappointment, for she must not have pictured herself getting embarrassed so outrightly, and commented, "What a clumsy girl."

Eunbi could feel little bubbles of rage bursting inside her, but she decided not to be concerned with them for the time being. Hence to divert her mind, she plastered a forced smile on her lips whilst the officer was still giving her an alienating look. Shrugging what had just happened, Eunbi acquired her seat as she tried to assimilate herself in the surroundings.

"I'd literally prefer to be swallowed by the ground, right away, at this very instant." She groaned, throwing her head back in frustration as she massaged her temples with her fingers. Reclining like that for a while, she could not decide if it was just her being immersed in daydreaming, or everyone had really started to murmur all of a sudden.

She shot back up, only to discover that they were talking about the arrival of their station head— the Captain. Her eyes gleamed upon the mention of a certain someone's name, and she swore hiding a smile had never been so hard for her.

Within a few minutes, a silhouette began to emerge from the blinding lights that the station doors were radiating. As obvious as it was for her to identify who it must be, she forgot to stand up and greet the supposed senior who was advancing very swiftly towards her. And the moment that she was awaiting— when they would stand before each other, intently looking into each other's eyes— had ultimately become her present. Eunbi was still grinning wildly, not seeming to decipher the bounds that she was apparently crossing.

That was when the senior had suddenly clapped his hands twice out of vexation.

"What's going on?" He spoke, his tone reflecting the amount of irritation that was building up inside him.

"I—I... I'm sorry I got—"

"This is the second busiest police station of Seoul, miss. And I've succeeded in making it efficient enough to live up to its title. I will not, at any costs, tolerate slacking officers who are inclined towards defaming my station's name. Am I clear enough?" He yelled towards the end, making Eunbi shudder unexpectedly.

"Y—yes sir." Eunbi hung her head low, for shame looked like getting the best of her.

"Nice." The officer remarked, swerving his head back towards his office to forward, immediately.

Even after the man had left, Eunbi could not bring herself to take her eyes off him. It was as if she got enchanted by him, and as ridiculous as it might sound, it definitely was not the first time that she had found herself trapped in such a situation.

"Oh Yoongi, you haven't changed a bit." Eunbi cooed as a conspicuous blush spread across her cheeks.
