Eunbi followed the lad as unnoticeably as she could, until she found the two of them stepping into a comparatively silent and devoid-of-people alley. She gasped audibly when she finally released her constrained breath, as she realized that it was about time she confronted Yoongi.

Expectedly, Yoongi rotated on his spot, ultimately coming face-to-face with Eunbi. The male could swear he had been continually repenting over how he had treated Eunbi that day. He would also do anything to win a closure with her. But he just was notready for all of it to happen so soon. He had been a mess ever since, who was not willing to lose even an ounce of time as long as he got to retain it.

"Yoongi, I—how have you been?" Eunbi stuttered out of nervousness, causing Yoongi to mirror her as well.

However, Yoongi was not too slow in changing his demeanor into somewhat bold. He knew that it was the need of the hour, at least for his own self. He could not get soft on Eunbi, or else she would continue to live feebly.

And so, his pupils were no longer unstable, and his face began to exude nonchalance.

"What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you that I don't want to hear from you again?" Yoongi's questions sounded more like statements laced with utter arrogance, to Eunbi. But she could not give up so easily.

After all, he was the one who had made her believe in the good side of the world. She could not let go of him just like that.

"I'm here for you, Yoongi. To apologize to you, and to assure you that I don't hate you at all because of the way you spoke to me the other day. In fact, I can't ever dare to hate you." Eunbi chuckled fondly, making the suppressed tears in Yoongi's eyes sting like hell.

"You can't keep doing this to me! You can't!" Yoongi yelled without any notice, resulting in a shudder from Eunbi's side. "I don't want to talk to you, I don't want to meet you anymore! For fuck's sake, I don't even wanna see you! Why don't you understand that? Why can't you respect my decisions? You don't love me, you're just being selfish. Whereas I'm not. I'm fine with forgetting about everything special that we shared, for the sake of your strengthening. Just accept my generosity and stop following me, goddamn it."

"You don't mean any of that, Yoongi, I know it. You're probably not in your sense—" Eunbi's voice appeared no less than begging, getting tired of what Yoongi snarled at her once again.

"I don't just dislike weak people, I hate them with all my heart. It's not my fault that you turned out to be one. Get over me already!"

"W—What do you want me to do then? I promise I'll do anything you say." Eunbi hesitantly proposed, tears still flooding her eyes.

"How about you just get the fuc—no in fact, why don't you go and kill a person?" Yoongi mocked the girl's bewildered face, which was definitely her reaction to what he had just said.

"If I—I do that, will you accept me then?"

Even Eunbi had no idea why was she getting led on by Yoongi so easily. She was unarguably a girl of her own thoughts, then why was that she felt so meek before Yoongi?

"No way you would do that, of course. Just like no way I would ever revert my old feelings back for you. Come on, you have wasted so much of our time. Head back to Daegu, that would be the best for the both of us." Yoongi snickered for one last time before treading back on his old path, leaving a flabbergasted Eunbi behind him.

Never in her entire life had Eunbi felt so empty inside. Not even when her parents died, or when Yoongi promised of returning back to her but did not keep his words accordingly, had pushed her into a trench so agonizing. There was an unusual kind of hollowness that Eunbi was experiencing right then. Although that did not stop her from walking continuously. It was not until a cold wave of air had gotten imprinted on her cheek did she realize that she was now standing on a bridge.

The railing of the bridge was not that high, and the extravagant distance between the platform of the bridge and the stream of the river running beneath it, would work as an icing on the cake for someone who did not want to live anymore. How wonderful it would be not to wake up the next day only to disappoint others.

But wait.

Why was Eunbi having such enticing thoughts about death all of a sudden?
