While Yoongi's voice was still sounding like a resonance to her, Eunbi had not envisaged a pair of arms to be encircling her waist from behind just the next moment. She could feel his chin poking one of her shoulders, tender huffs from the latter tickling the same. Shyly smiling to herself as she looked down, she rotated under Yoongi's grip, eventually coming face-to-face with the boy who had made the otherwise unattainable emotion of love, feasible for her.

Eunbi slightly trembled, owing to the male's abrupt gesture of looking directly into her eyes and cracking a rather enchanting smile.

"What were you doing?" Yoongi asked, with voice a bare note above whispering.

"I'm in the kitchen, what do you think? It's obvious that I mustn't be partying in here—"

"Gosh, you ruined the moment." Disgruntled, Yoongi shifted his vision to the side before continuing, "You know that, right?" He frowned as he glanced at Eunbi through the corners of his eyes.

"Do you think I'll be able to make up for this blunder?" Eunbi deadpanned, which surprisingly brought a huge grin back on Yoongi's face.

"What if it's a no?" Yoongi mumbled as he leaned towards Eunbi, causing the distance between their faces to get reduced to an inch.

"I don't think you'll say no to my specialty— Eunbi's special chocochip butter cookies!" Eunbi pushed the boy away from her as she announced dramatically, raising her arms high-up in the air.

Putting the baking gloves back on, she tied the apron once again before approaching the oven which had been tooting for so long that it felt like a decade. As she wore her notably contagious beam on her lips, she pulled open the panel, releasing the fresh aroma of newly baked cookies. Yoongi's nostrils flared as he tried to absorb that saccharine scent, watching which made Eunbi burst into giggles.

"What?" Yoongi shot a curt question at her, before resorting to making an explanation himself, "I wasn't hungry at all, seriously. But now that you're so much requesting me to have a bite of these cookies, you know that I can't really deny your pleas, right?" Yoongi fetched a dish from the counter as he finished, and stood before Eunbi in a manner which a child would, waiting for his mother to give him his meal.

"These are a little bit hot but still, good to go." Eunbi informed while beginning to decorate the dish that Yoongi had brought, with the minimal amount of cookies that she could accumulate. "This is the only thing my mom could teach me how to make, before that happened. I was an avid fan of her edition of these cookies, and so, one day when she had enough money to buy all those required ingredients, she guided me while I tried my hand at these. A majority of them got burnt though, not gonna lie. But it was truly fun." Eunbi's last word went in congruence with her act of placing the last cookie on the plate, allowing her enough time to steal a quick peek of Yoongi's reaction.

Yoongi surely felt devastated, it was quite discernible through his face. It was tragic how the only legacy that Eunbi had managed to possess of her mother was a memory which gave her nothing but tremendous pain.

Yoongi had always seen Eunbi as a tough soul, but little did he know that she was much more than that. She knew how to embrace her past, whether good or bad, whether healing or damaging, for it belonged to her and was an inseparable part of her existence. Yoongi would never do anything to her to cause her any more suffering, that was what he had resolved in that instance of emotional stir.

And he promised himself that he would keep his words, no matter what.

"Is something wrong? Why is your face suddenly so pale, sir?" Eunbi queried with concern, as her features displayed so.

"Nothing, it's just..." Yoongi's voice faltered, which led him to cast his gaze on the girl standing before him, with whom came accompanied a huge box of the same traumatizing cookies. As the worry on her face intensified, he immediately waved his hand in dismissal, "There's nothing to fret about. It's just that I got reminded of an old friend because of what you've brought for me."

"An old friend?" Eunbi asked confusingly, making Yoongi emit an ephemeral chuckle.

"Yeah, she had the same name as yours. Ugh, what was her last name... Ah, just let it be. Thanks for the kind gesture though, Technician Nam." Yoongi chimed satisfyingly as he, at the same time, wordlessly beckoned Eunbi to give him some personal space of his own.

Nodding in acknowledgement, Eunbi proceeded towards the exit. When she was just done with discreetly shutting close the door, a voice that she felt like she was very akin to, called out her name. But the tone that voice bore was something unprecedented yet awkward-to-encounter for Eunbi.
