"It's alright, I've gotten used to it." Eunbi forced a smile, which expectantly turned out to be momentary as soft whimpers began to originate from her.
She was anticipating an empathetic embrace from Yoongi's side, but much to her dismay, he remained planted on his spot like a rock.
His gaze had now turned stone-cold, which was otherwise always brimming with affection for Eunbi. The latter was definitely having a hard time deciphering Yoongi's plain yet complex facial expression, for she was not aware of what exactly had birthed such reaction of his.
Yoongi would open his mouth from time to time only to shut it close right after. Observing his dilemma, Eunbi had somewhat become sure of him finding it challenging to grasp the situation. She had realized that something very unfavorable for her had occurred right then.
"Do you want to say something? It looks like you're strugglin—"
"You know which kind people do I loathe the most? Those who can't stand up for themselves. What did you just do, Eunbi? Why didn't you put forward your side of the argument? Why did you let her humiliate yourself in front of so many people?" Yoongi shot dozens of questions at Eunbi, unknowingly rendering her tongue-tied.
"Her rank here is higher than me. I can't really snap back at her, Yoongi. You gotta respect the hierarchy of your workplace, or you won't last long." Eunbi clarified, earning an eye-roll accompanied with a groan from Yoongi.
"If that's how you think this world works, then I promise you that I'll achieve the highest position in my future office. I'll prove to you that only the fittest survive in this world, Eunbi. I can't bring myself to believe anymore that you were the girl whom I had liked so crazily once. If I've had even the slightest clue that you'd turn out to be the exact opposite of how I desire to be, I would've never given my heart to you—"
"You're going overboard, Yoongi. Where is this all coming from?" Eunbi's eyes widened, but her face remained as calm as ever.
She looked like a pretentious tiger trapped within the cage of her obligations towards Yoongi. She loved him of course, and that was what had always kept her from letting loose her rage. Yoongi had transformed her into a human, who very well recognized how distinct every human was as an individual, and how much certain it had become that not everyone was like her father.
"I don't say things that I don't mean, Eunbi. The least I had wanted from you was to behave so weakly when you should've fought back for yourself. I don't like weak people, Eunbi. I hate them. That doesn't make you any special. My time's up for here anyway so I have to go back," Yoongi stated as he rotated himself to reach the exit before turning back to face Eunbi again, only to say, "I don't want to hear from you, ever again."
Eunbi stood frozen in the same position for a couple of minutes, unable to disentangle the rather incomprehensible words that Yoongi had just uttered to her. Her eyes trailed Yoongi's retreating figure until he was nowhere to be seen, making her follow his disappearance with a swift swaying of her head. She thought that maybe the action would yank her back to reality, for it was possible that she might be just dreaming all this while. But when nothing around her seemed to change even after her waiting so patiently, Eunbi figured out that whatever she had experienced some moments back, was indeed real.
She held her head with her hands, eyes pricking as if the barrier would nott last long to hold back her tears. Eunbi wailed, miserably. She did not heed to people's scornful remarks that were inconsiderately being aimed at her. However, it was more like she had entered into a vacuum, where she could see nothing, hear nothing and speak nothing.

Deeming Yoongi's advice to adopt a brave front as infallibly true, Eunbi ultimately quit working at the care home. Though, that probably was not the only reason she had set herself free. Before leaving the premises for the only and first time in forever, she had managed to acquire whatever amount of information she could— about Yoongi, from the reception's visitors' book. Eunbi did not know much about where Yoongi studied or worked, but he had provided the name of the locality where he resided, in that register.
Eunbi was undeniably the perfect example of a smart person.
Seoul was a contrasting experience for Eunbi, who otherwise had this notion of Daegu being an exceptionally populous and enormous city. She was quick to accept her naivety, though. Traipsing in the bustling alleys of the city, she eventually ceased to move any forward when an evident sign of a bus stop grabbed her attention. She was not positive about it being Yoongi's go-to bus stop, but nor did she find any harm in sitting there and spectating blissful faces flashing across her vision.
"I wanna be happy too... I wanna be loved again... I miss the old Yoongi so freaking much." Eunbi hung her head low and watched her feet. However, that was short-lived, for the grumbling sound of a bus engine fell into her ears, prompting her to look up in the same direction of the vehicle.
There, she saw a visibly melancholic Yoongi stepping off the bus, and the next she remembered was herself chasing him like some obsessive admirer.
