*Amelia's POV*

"No, bubba. Don't disturb her, okay? You can see her when she comes out" I heard the lady say.
Who was she talking to?
What time was it?
What's even gonna happen to me?

I heard her walk downstairs and my door opened. A cute little boy stood there.
He looked a little like Lucas did at that age.

"Hello Amelia. My mommy said not to come in here, but I wanted to see you. I'm Corey" he smiled at me.

"Hi Corey. It's nice to meet you. And don't worry about your mommy. We'll keep it a secret, okay?" I smiled back at him.
Those were the first words I said, after hearing the news.
I couldn't not talk to him, though. He was so cute and he reminded me of Lucas.

"Did you sleep good?" he asked.

"Yeah, I did"

"Is that a comfortable bed?"

"Yeah. Do you wanna try it out? Come on. Sit next to me"

He slowly sat down next to me and snuggled into me. I loved it and put my arms around his shoulder, causing him to snuggle into me even more.
He made me forget everything around me. It was only us two in a beautiful world, with not a single problem.

"Are you sad?"

"Why do you ask?"

"My mommy said that you're very sad, so that you maybe don't want to talk to me. But you do talk to me. Did my mommy lie?"

"No, sweetie, your mommy did not lie. I am very sad, but you make me forget to be sad. When I talk to you, I'm not sad"

"Am I like your medicine?"

"Yeah, a little" I chuckled.

"Corey, where are you? I've been waiting for you. I told you not to come in here" the lady stood in the doorway.

"I'm like her medicine, mommy. I make her forget to be sad" he said proudly.
Why did he have to say that? She wasn't supposed to know that. Now she thinks I'm gonna talk to her.
I love little kids, but they have to learn what to say and what not to say.

"Really? That's very good, Corey. I'm happy to hear that. Do you two want breakfast now?" she asked.

"Yep" Corey jumped up and I just followed him.

"Good morning, Amelia" Drake greeted me, downstairs.
Of course, I didn't reply.

"Okay, I'll be off. Have a good day, darlings" he smiled as he put on his coat.

"Have a good day, babe" the lady kissed him.

"Good day, daddy. I'll see you later" Corey gave him a hug.

"Good day, baba. Have fun in school" he kissed his forehead, "Good day to you too, Amelia" he smiled at me.
I couldn't ignore him. He was being nice to me and the lady probably already told him that I won't talk, but he still tried. I can't ignore that, so I gave him a small nod.
He smiled and left.

"So after breakfast, we're gonna bring Corey to his kindergarten and then we're going to the station, okay?" She asked me.
I just nodded and sat down at the table.
We had breakfast and I found out that Corey is a very talkative boy. He didn't keep his mouth shut for even one minute. He's so adorable.
He looked more like his dad, but he had his mom's beautiful, chocolate brown eyes.

"Go get ready to leave, bubba. I'll be down in a minute" the lady said to Corey, as she went upstairs.

"Can you help me put on my shoes?" he asked me.

"Sure" I smiled, "Bring them and I'll help you"

He sat down in the couch and I sat down next to him, putting his shoes on.

"You're good at that" he complimented me.

"Thank you" I chuckled.

"Do you do it often?"

"Do what often?"

"Put on someone else's shoes?"

"Well, I used to have a younger brother. I sometimes helped him with his shoes" I thought back to Lucas.

"Amelia, I can't do it on my own" Lucas cried.
He was four and I was seven. I decided that he can't ask mom to put on his shoes anymore. He had to do it himself.

"You have to, buddy. Otherwise you're still a baby"

"I'm not a baby!" he cried.

"Then tie your own shoes!" I screamed.

"Show me how!" He screamed back.

"Kids, what's going on in here?" mom came in.

"He won't tie his own shoes" I complained.

"But that's not your problem, darling"

"I know, but I want him to learn how to do it himself"

"So, teach him. It works better then screaming"

"Okay. Come here, Lucas. I'll show you"

"Where is he now?" Corey shook me out of my thoughts.

"He's in heaven" I said, as tears built up in my eyes.

"Why? How? Can we go there, too?"

"No, sweetie, we can't. At least, not yet"

"Then why could he go?"

"Because God wanted him back. God wanted him to watch over us"

"Is he looking at us now?"

"Yeah, he is"

"Is he an angel?"

"Yep. My guardian angel" a tear escaped my eye.
Corey wiped it away and sat down on my lap. He gave me a hug. I hugged him back.

"But that's good, right? He's in a good place, right?" He said, still wrapped in my arms.

"Yeah, he is"

"Then why are you crying?"

"Because I miss him and I wish he could be here with me"

I heard sniffling coming from the doorway and I looked up. The lady stood there, wiping away her tears.
Why was she crying?
