"Would you mind taking care of him today?" I asked Amelia.

I had to leave for work in a few minutes and Drake left a few minutes ago. Corey was so against going to school today, I couldn't even get him to put on his clothes.
He suggested that he stay home with Amelia today.
She nodded.

"You sure?"
She nodded again.

"Okay, so you can just take everything you want. If he wants to eat, you can just give him whatever he wants. Not more than one candy, though. You can take him outside if you want and if he wants. Basically, you can do whatever you want. Drake's gonna come home for his lunch break, which is at about twelve thirty, I think. He'll stay here till I'm gonna come home, which is at about three thirty to four. It depends on how much I still have to do. If you have a problem, you can call either me or Drake. If Corey misbehaves, which I don't think he'll do, you can put him in time out. He's only been in time out once in his life, so it's still a pretty big deal for him. But I'm almost positive he'll behave. He's a sweet boy. Right Corey?"

He smiled at me and nodded.

"Okay. Everything clear?" I asked.
She nodded.

"Great. I'm gonna be leaving now, then. I hope you'll have a good day" I smiled at them.
I gave Corey a kiss on his forehead.

"See you later, bubba"

"See you, mommy" he replied.

I gave Amelia a hug.

"I'll see you soon, sweetheart. I hope it won't be too hard for you. I love you"
She looked me right in the eyes and nodded.
Her eyes wanted to talk to me. That's why she looked at me like that. She wanted to talk, but her voice wouldn't let her. She told Drake yesterday and he told me.

"So, how'd you like it?" He asked me, as we lay down in bed.

"I loved it. I really liked it a lot. But it's the last time I want anything from you. I really appreciate it a lot, but it's unnecessary"

"You needed a new watch"

"Only the watch, but not the perfume or the jewelry box. And I could've also bought a watch myself. Nobody said you had to buy it for me. It is a really pretty watch, though. I love it" I smiled.

"Amelia chose it"

"She did?"

"Yeah. She helped me with everything. I wanted to be very unoriginal and buy you a piece of jewelry. She told me to do something a little different. She asked me what you needed. Like if you need something in the house, for the kitchen maybe. I told her your watch broke, so we went to look for a nice watch. I though it was too small, though, so she suggested I buy you a nice perfume, too. She helped me choose which one and then we passed a cute little junk store, so we went in and brought you the jewelry box. It's just as an extra little thing. I don't really think it's such good quality. Anyway, we bought flowers, too. She also choose them. She really like that bouquet and I liked it, too. She told me what to write on the note as then wrote her own name and made Corey write his name, too. So actually, it was all Amelia. I only payed for it" he smiled.

"She told you what to write on the note?"

"Yep. She loves you, Demi"

"Drake, she's mad at me"

"She's not. She told me. She wants to talk to you and she's sorry for getting mad. She really wants to tell you and talk to you again, but she can't. She said that it's like something's holding her back. She does loves you, though. She really does"

I believed him when he said that, cause I could see it in her eyes. She wanted. She really did. She just couldn't.

I gave them both another wave, before closing the front door behind me. Leaving the two kids on their own, still not sure if that's a great idea. I had no other choice, though.
