"Are you serious? That's so much fun! I can't wait!" Drake was excited.
Corey was too.

"When's she coming? How long's she staying? Is she gonna be my sister now?"

"No, sweetie. She's not gonna be your sister. She's just gonna be here for a few nights" I smiled at him.

Amelia was coming over!
She was gonna stay by us for a few days!

"Hi, it's Ruby. Amelia's foster mom"

"Hi. Is everything alright? Is she okay?" I was concerned.
What's wrong?

"Yeah, I wanted to ask you something about her"

"Okay"

"Stacy told me that she did talk to you, right?"

"Yeah"

"Okay. So, basically, she hasn't talked to any of us, yet. Which I don't have a problem with. I mean, I would love for her to talk to me, but I understand if she needs a little more time. That Stacy, though, is so sure that she has the right solution, so she made her go to a therapist. Well, that didn't go well, at all. She went three times already and still nothing. She just completely ignores the lady and it's just not working. Stacy is, however, driving us totally insane, saying that we have to keep on sending her to the therapist, but we just can't afford it and it's far away, so it take a lot of time. What I thought is, that maybe you can take her for a few days. She really liked your family, obviously, and she talks to you. Maybe you can have her over for a few days and see if you can make her open up about her feelings and maybe even encourage her to start talking to other people again. Now, I know that you're probably very busy with your work and all, but it's just a thought. We would really appreciate it if it would work"

Oh my god! I'm gonna see Amelia!

"Of course she can come. We'd be very happy to have her!" I smiled.

"Thank you so much. Stacy is coming over tomorrow and she'll bring her, okay? I think like five days? Does that sound reasonable?"

"That sound just fine. We'll be waiting for her. What time will she arrive?"

"Around noon, I think. I'll call you when they leave the house. It's about half an hour drive"

"Okay, thank you so much! How did you actually get my number?" I wondered.
As far as I can remember, I never gave it to her.

"I asked Stacy for it. At first she was reluctant to give it, but I pushed her a little over the edge" she chuckled.

"Why didn't she wanna give it?"

"She said you have nothing to do with Amelia anymore. That you did your part and your in her past now, or something like that"

"Bitch" I muttered, not meaning for her to hear it.

"Yeah, I know. She's a real pain in the ass. And I don't believe in what she said. I think you can sill be part of Amelia's life. You obviously have some sort of bond with her, and I see no reason in breaking that" she said.
She was very different from the time I saw her, at the funeral. There, I couldn't really stand her. She was too nosy and annoying for me. Now, she was actually quite okay. Not too bad.

"Yeah, I really appreciate it a lot. But isn't Stacy gonna be against bringing her here, then?"

"She doesn't have a choice. We're Amelia's guardians and we can decide where she goes, right? And if she really won't do it, I'll bring her. It's not a problem"

"I really appreciate it a lot! Anyway, I gotta get back to work now. Thank you very much and we'll be in touch"

"Thank you for taking her. I hope it'll help her. I'll call you tomorrow. Bye" she hung up.

I've never seen Peter's face light up like that. I told him Amelia was coming and he was so happy. He made me promise to either bring her here to work, or that he could come visit her in my house. Of course, I promised.
Drake and Corey were as excited when I told them.
This was gonna be so amazing.
