I closed the door to my room and sat down on the bed. She just stood by the door, awkwardly.

"Sit down, sweetheart" I patter the spot next to me on the bed, signaling for her to sit down. She did.

"So, I have a few things to ask and tell you, okay?"

"Sure"

"Okay, so first, Stacy called today" I started.
She groaned.

My phone rang and I looked at who it was.
Unknown number.
I answered and immediately recognized the voice. Stacy.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi, Demi. It's Stacy. How are you?"

"I'm good. You?"

"Me too. I talked to Ruby today and she told me it's time for Amelia to return back home"

"Really? Why?"

"Cause it's her home and she's suppose to live there and not by you"

"Can I ask you what you have against me?"

"Oh nothing. I just don't think you should be part of her life anymore. You did what you had to do and now you're done with her. She has nothing to do with you anymore"

Bitch.

"That's not true"

"Why not?"

"Cause I'm not done with her. I promised her dad and I'm keeping that promise. If she doesn't want to have me in her life anymore, or if Ruby and Brody don't agree, then it's a different story. But I don't think you have any right to tell her who is and who isn't part of her life. And you have no reason to cut me, my family or Peter out of her life, without her or Ruby's permission"

"What did you promise her dad?"
Is that all she heard from what I said?

"That's none of your business"

"Look, I don't have time for this right now. I'm really busy. I just had to give you the message and I'll be picking her up tomorrow morning"

"Oh that's fine. I'll talk to Ruby and arrange that I'll bring her back. You don't have to make time in your busy schedule. It's okay" I was trying to annoy her to the point where she would hang up on me, but it wasn't working. I'm the one who's gonna have to do the hanging up, then.

"No, I'll-" I hung up before she had time to respond.

Bitch.

"You don't like her, do you?" I chuckled.

"Who does?" she replied.

"Anyway, she told me that she talked to Ruby and that they want you to come back home tomorrow or the day after that, but not later. I'm sorry to say that I didn't really believe her, so I called Ruby. Sadly it's true, though. They want you to come with them to a family celebration, the day after tomorrow, so you can meet their family. She said you could stay here till then, though, and don't have to go tomorrow. So, it's up to you, what you're gonna do"

"I'll have to think about that"

"Okay. That's fine" I smiled at her. I was happy that she was talking normally to me.

"What else did you have to tell me?" she asked, after we were silent for a few seconds.

"Oh, yeah. I wanted to ask you a few questions. If you feel uncomfortable, you don't have to answer, though"

"You're scarring me" she laughed.

"Don't be scared. It's just a few questions"

"Okay"

"Are you mad at me?"

"Why would I be?"

"Sweetie, I did not ask you a question, so you can answer with a question. If you don't wanna answer, then don't. But just don't reply with a question. I hate it when people do that"

"I'm sorry"

"That's okay. Just try not to do it again"

"Okay. And no, I'm not mad at you"

"Are you sure?"

"Yep. I'm sure"

"Phew. That's a relief" I smiled at her.

"Can I ask you questions, too?" she asked.

"Sure. Should we take turns?"

"What? Like 20 questions?"

"If you want to"

"Okay. My turn" she laughed.

"Go ahead"

"Why would you think I'm mad at you?"

"Cause I pushed you a little too far, the other day. Do you feel like you wanna kill the whole world?"

"Yeah, kinda. How old are you?"

"That's kinda off topic, but I'm twenty four. Why do you wanna know?"

"Just curious. I realized that I actually don't even know you, so I wanted to know. Do you think it's wrong to wanna die?" She looked at the floor, as she asked that.
I could see that she was opening up a little, which was good. I just didn't like the fact that she wanted to die.

"It depends on the situation. Do you wanna die?"

She slowly nodded, not raising her gaze from the floor.
I pulled her into a hug and she snuggled into me.

"Is that bad?" She whispered.

"No, baby, it's not. As long as you don't actually kill yourself. Wanna talk about it?"

"I just feel like I have nothing. I'm alone. I have no one. I have nothing to live for anymore. My family's dead. My belongings, except for the few ones I took, are not mine anymore. My friends in school all pity me now and walk on eggshells around me. They don't know what to say and what not to say. They're scared of saying anything that has something to do with family and it's just really awkward. My new 'family' are okay, but I'll never see them as my family and I'm kinda just a girl that lives in their house. Not their daughter. I don't know. I just don't see the light anymore. There is no light anymore. It's all so dark. When you asked me what I saw in my head I didn't see anything. It was just darkness and it still is. There's not even a bit of light anywhere. Only when I'm here do I see a tiny spot of light, but that's it. If I die, I'll be happy. I'll be back with my family. I'll be watching over the world, over the few people that have found a place in my heart and everything will be perfect. Why stay and be miserable, when I can leave and be happy?" she started sobbing as she finished talking, and I did too.
I hugged her tightly, as I let tears stream down my face.

Drake opened the door, but stopped when he saw us.

"You okay?" he mouthed.

"I'll tell you later" I mouthed back and he left again, leaving me with Amelia.

I didn't know what to say, though. Here, she finally opened up to me, but I had nothing to say to her. I wanted to make her feel better, to tell her that things will be alright.
But how?
