*Demi's POV*

"Come on, let's go to my house for a bit. Corey's there with Drake and he's been dying to see you again" I said to Amelia.

She came in again today, cause we needed to get some things arranged for the funeral. She hasn't said a word to anyone, since she left this place. She also didn't say anything to me anymore, but I also didn't expect it.
It was like a one time thing.

Maybe at home she will talk, though, cause the Corey's there also.

"Amelia!" Corey screamed, as she entered.
He ran to her and she picked him up and hugged him tightly.

"I missed you, buddy" she smiled at him.

"I missed you, too" he wrapped his arms around her neck, almost chocking her.

"Hi Amelia. It's nice to see you again" Drake smiled at her.

"Hi" she smiled at him.
I must say, I was surprised. I didn't think she'd talk to him, just yet.

But then again, when she came in this morning, me and Peter were both surprised by her reaction.

"Good morning" Stacy walked in with a huge smile.
Is that woman ever not happy?

Amelia walked in right after her.

"Good morning, Amelia" Peter smiled at her.
She looked up at him and smiled. She slowly walked over to him and gave him a hug.
Peter looked shocked and I was shocked, too.
This was new.

He hugged her back and it lasted for a few seconds, before she walked over to me and hugged me super tightly.
I hugged me back.

"Good morning, sweetie. It's good to see you again. Me and Corey missed you" I whispered, as she buried her face in my stomach.

"How are you doing?" he decided try to keep the conversation going.

"Okay, I guess" she whispered, obviously not totally ready to hold a whole conversation.

"How's your new family?" Corey asked.

"They suck"

"They what?"

"They're annoying" she chuckled.

"You don't like them?" he asked.

"Not very much"

I walked to the kitchen and decided to start making lunch and let Amelia and Corey have a moment alone.
I'll ask her about the family later.

"So, she talks. You didn't tell me" Drake came after me.

"Yeah, I didn't know. I told you about right before she left, right?"

"Yeah"

"Okay, so she talked then, but I didn't think she'd talk now. She changed a little, though. She even gave Peter a hug"

"Maybe it's because she doesn't like that new family. I mean, she just said that they suck, they can't be that great then"

"Yeah, I'm gonna ask her about that soon. I'm not sure how ready she is to open up, though"

"Yeah, you're right. But she definitely looks better then last time she was here"

"Yeah, she does. I think it's all staring to sink in now and she realizes that she has to move on, you know. I think it's still gonna be hard for her, though, at least till after the funeral and maybe a few more weeks after that, but eventually she'll be okay"

"Mommy, we having lunch?" Corey came into the kitchen, dragging Amelia behind him.

"Yeah, bubba. I'm almost done. Do you wanna set the table?"

"Okay. Can Amelia also help?"

"If she wants to, sweetheart"

"Do you want to?" he asked her.

"Anything for you, buddy" she smiled.
She's definitely a good big sister.

"Come. You do the plates and I do the cups?"

"Sure. You wanna do the knives or the forks?"

"Spoons"

"You wanna use spoons?"

"I only eat with spoons"

"Really? So, how do you eat, let's say, chicken with a spoon?" she asked.

"You can also use your hand, if it doesn't work" he replied in a duh tone.
She started laughing and so did Drake and me.

"That's not the way we raised you, Corey. You're gonna give her a wrong impression of our parenting. Now she things we're bad parents" Drake laughed.

"That doesn't matter" Corey replied, which made us laugh again.

"You're just the cutest" Amelia hugged him, "Come, let's set the table. You'll so the cups and a spoon by your place. I'll do the plates and the forks and knives for mommy and daddy, okay?"

"And for yourself, of course"

"Nah, I don't need to eat. I'm not very hungry"

"You're not gonna eat? But mommy made for you also. And I wanted to sit next to you" he sounded disappointed.

"I'll sit next to you and help you with your food, okay? Maybe I can help you when your food doesn't get on your spoon" she laughed.

We all sat down and started eating. She didn't eat, though.

"Don't you want anything to eat, sweetheart?" I asked her.

"Nah, I'm fine" she replied.

"You sure? You haven't eaten since you came, which is already a few hours ago"

"I'm not hungry" she replied, looking down.
Something was a little off.
I put my hand in her shoulder.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine" she whispered.
It was obvious that she still wasn't very comfortable with talking to anyone, but Corey. She was now okay with us hearing her talking, but she wasn't fully okay with talking to us.

"Wanna talk about it somewhere else? We can go upstairs where no one's around, if you want"

"You're in the middle of eating"

"It's okay. It can wait. Come, let's go up" I took her hand.
Drake gave me a 'good luck' look and I left him downstairs with Corey.

"Is something wrong with Amelia?" I heard Corey ask, worried.

"No buddy, she's just going to talk with mommy in private a little, okay? She'll be down soon" Drake replied, just before I entered the room Amelia had slept in a few nights ago, and closed the door behind me.
