I looked at Amelia, with Corey in her arms, standing and looking at the graves.

The funeral went as planed. There were actually more people then we thought would come. It was very hard for Amelia, though. All these people coming up to her. She didn't even know half of them. It were all friends of her parents.
She had Corey with her, the whole time.

"Come on, boy, let's get out of the car. You can go see Amelia" I said to Corey, as he arrived with Drake.
I came earlier the them, and Amelia had just arrived.

"Yay!" he jumped out of the car.
He saw Amelia and started running to her.

"Amelia!" he yelled.
She turned around and spread her arms wide. Corey ran straight into them and she lifted him up in her arms.
I looked at Drake and we both melted at the sight.

She hasn't let him out of her arms the whole time.
I sat down next to her during the speeches and she kept close to my family, the whole time.

I walked over to her and put my arm around her shoulder.

"It's okay to cry, Amelia" I whispered, as I saw that she was keeping it in.

She still hasn't said a word to us. Only to Corey, when no one could hear it.
I think it was because her new family and Stacy were here, too.
I still haven't seen that family, but Stacy said they were here.

"I know" she whispered back.

"So why keep it it, darling?"
She shrugged.

"Is it bad to cry?" Corey asked.

"No, Corey. It's not" I said.

We stood in silence, her with Corey in her arms and me with my arms around her, just looking at the graves. Drake saw us and came over, too. He put his arms around me, to try and comfort us, cause he saw that it was hard for us.

We stood in silence for a few more minutes.
You could think we were a family.

"Excuse me" I heard someone ask.
I turned around and saw a lady with a baby in her arms.

"Yeah?"

"Who are you?" she asked.

"I'm sorry? Why do you wanna know?"

"Well, you see, Amelia is our daughter. But I saw that she's been with you through the whole ceremony, so I was wondering who you are"

Amelia now also turned around and looked at the lady.

"Oh, so you must be Ruby" I said.

"How'd you know?"

"I'm the officer that was assigned to her case"

"I thought that was that guy over there" she pointed to Peter, who was talking with Stacy.

"We're both in charge of her case"

"Oh, so what's your name?"

"Demi"

"Is that your husband and son?"

"Yep"

"How does Amelia know them?"

God, she's nosy.

"She came to my house on the night of the shooting" I explained.

"Oh, okay"

"Why do you ask? Is there something wrong?"

"No, I was just wondering. You know, now that she's under my care, I have to make sure she's hanging out with the right people. And it looked like she knows you well, so I was just wondering who you were. No problem, at all" she gave me a smile.
Well, that's good to hear, right?

"Mommy, who's that?" another little girl asked the lady, as she pointed at Corey.

"That's this lady's son, love" she replied.

"Amelia doesn't hold me like that" she pouted.

"Maybe cause you're a little older then him"

"How old's he?"

"I don't know. Maybe you can ask the lady"

"Hi, I'm Debby. Amelia is my new sister. Amanda is also my new sister, but she's my sister a little longer then Amelia. How old is your son?" she asked.

"My son's four years old, Debby. How old are you?"

"I'm six" she said, proudly.

"Wow, you're already a big girl, aren't you?"

"You know, Amelia can't talk"

"Yes, she can" Corey, who was listening to the conversation, pipped in.

"No, she can't. She even told me"

"Maybe it's cause she doesn't like you" he said.

"Corey, that's not nice to say" Drake shot him a glare.

"She does like me. She's my sister" Debby stamped her foot on the ground.

"Yeah, Debby, she does like you. Don't worry" her mom said.

I looked at Amelia and saw her rolling her eyes. She didn't like them very much. That was obvious.

"Hello" a big man came over.

"Hi" me and Drake replied.

"This is my husband, Brody" Ruby said, "This is one of the police officers who took care of Amelia, and her husband and son" she introduced us.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you. So, you've been taking care of her, that's nice. Was she at your house the first night?"

"Yeah, she was" I replied.

He was definitely better then the rest of the family. I could see on Amelia's face that she thought the same.

"Well, we gotta go now. Amelia, are you coming with us, or with Stacy?" Ruby asked.

"I think she's going with Stacy. We still have a few things to arrange" I lied.
We had nothing more to arrange. I just wanted to spent a little more time with her.

"Oh, okay. We'll see you at home, then?"
Amelia nodded.

"Great. Okay, let's go" she left with her family.

"Dickheads" I heard Amelia mutter under her breath, as soon as they were gone.

"You don't like them much, do you?" I asked.
She shook her head.

"Okay, let's get ready to leave. It's getting late" Peter came over with Stacy.

"Yeah, we gotta get you back home" Stacy said.

Amelia rolled her eyes again, as we all started walking back to our cars.

"I'll be waiting in the car, while you say goodbye" Stacy left us standing, knowing we didn't want her around.

"Am I gonna see you again?" Corey asked her.

"I don't know" she whispered, "I hope so"

"We'll miss you a lot, Amelia" Peter said.

"I'll miss you, too" she replied.
She gave us all a hug and then held Corey tightly in her arms. I saw a few tears escape her eyes.

"I love you, Corey" she whispered.

"I love you too, Amelia" he replied.

"Call me if you need anything, yeah?" I asked.
She nodded and gave me another hug.

"Keep hanging in there, kiddo. I'll miss you" Drake smiled at her.
She gave him another hug, as well.

"Are you coming?" Stacy screamed from the car.

"Calm your tits, woman" Drake mumbled.

We all stared laughing a little, as Amelia walked to the car and gave us another wave.
The four of us, Drake, Corey, Peter and me, stood there, watching her disappear.

Are we ever going to see her again?
