"Y/n, you can't be serious about this."
"Why not Goth, I haven't seen her in years."
"You can't be that blind."
You were so happy to have just gotten a call from one of your old best friends, so excited to see her again, Goth just had to go and ruin the moment.
"What is your problem? She's my friend."
"No she isn-actually, you know what forget it, go see her, I don't care, but don't say I didn't try to warn you."
"You just can't be happy for me, can you?"
"Why can't you see I'm trying to look out for you?!"
"I don't need you looking out for me!"
He looked like he'd just been punched in the stomach at your remark. Every since you'd met he'd been there for you, protecting you, he thought you were grateful for it, guess he was wrong.
To avoid making the situation any worse, you grabbed your things and left to return to your own house, he'd be fine, you'd had worse fights.
What was so wrong about seeing your old friend, she'd never done anything for him to act that way.
Sure she might have changed a bit since highschool but surely she was still as nice as you knew her to be a few years back.
And it would feel great to prove Goth wrong.
You knew he meant well, he always had when it came to trying to warn you about stuff, and usually he was right, but you knew her better than he did.
You pushed him out of your mind for the time being once you got to your house, you had to get ready, sure she didn't give you much notice about wanting you to visit but you didn't mind.
While you were getting ready you saw the old best friend necklace that she had given to you, the half a heart with the word "friends" engraved on it.
You figured that would be good to wear, to remind her she was still your friend.
You hurriedly walked out the door, making sure you wouldn't be late, luckily she didn't live to far past Goth's house, so walking wasn't a problem.
When you passed his house, you contemplated stopping by to apologise, but unfortunately, if you did you would definitely be late.
Once you reached her house, you knocked on the door, she immediately opened it, quickly pulling you into a hug.
"Oh my gosh, Y/n, it's so great to see you again!"
You hugged back, happy she was glad to see you.
"Yeah, it's been way too long."
She let you go and motioned for you to follow her into the kitchen. You had spent around fifteen minutes talking and catching up when you heard a noise in the living room.
"Did you move in with someone?"
"Oh, no. Just someone else I invited over that we haven't seen in ages."
You smiled at that, the only person from highschool you still hung out with was Goth, everyone else had left town mostly.
"I'll go get them."
She left you alone in the kitchen, trying to see if you could guess who it was.
And when she brought them to you, you definitely would've never guessed who it was.
