Blue's P.O.V
"PAPYRUS HURRY UP," I yelled to my brother, who was taking absolutely forever to get ready. "Chill bro I'm ready," he had teleported behind me, slightly scaring me.
"Ugh, Anyway, we need to get going. We should see if we can find anything on the new case," I said grabbing the keys to our patrol car.
We have been on the surface for a couple months now and both my brother and I got jobs as cops thanks to our local police department.
We hadn't had many big cases yet, mostly we were just part of patrols or traffic stops. But recently several people had been disappearing around the city. We were put in charge of finding them.
We had leads but non were that great. There was one though that one alley in town was were several people were last seen before disappearing, so that's our best bet at the moment.
We drove there and honestly it makes sense, this wasn't the best part of town, but we have to take our chances.
It looked empty for the most part. I used my flashlight and started looking further inside while Papyrus checked a neighboring alley.
I didn't expect to find anything, so when I did I was kinda shocked. I had moved a pile of pallets to the side to see a person, with a hood covering their face.
As soon as they saw me they tried to run away, limping, but we're met with a brick wall. They then sat back down like they were when I had found them.
"P-please don't hurt me, I don't m-mean any harm," they said scared. I could now tell by voice it was a girl. I felt bad for her, especially since she seemed to be hurt.
I walked over to her slowly trying not to scare her any more. "I'm not gonna hurt you, my job is to help people, don't worry," I said calmly.
She looked up at me a little bit so I could barely see her eyes. She was still scared, I could tell. She must've been in a fight or something since she had a black eye and her lip was busted.
"Hey bro, did ya find anything," Papyrus yelled out from the sidewalk. She jumped and tried to hide her face again. I nodded my head and motioned for him to come to us.
He did, and once he saw her I could tell he felt bad for her too. "Hey, it's alright. Why don't we get you out of here," Papyrus said kneeling down to her level.
She nodded and tried to stand but between her injury and the fear she was having trouble. I put her arm around my neck and helped her walk to the car.
She didn't talk the whole way back to our house. I could tell she'd be that way for a bit. We helped her inside and sat her on the couch.
"Ok, now if we're gonna help you we need to know more about you and what happened," Papyrus said calmly. She nodded.
"What's your name," I asked. "Y/n l/n (last name)," she responded. Not stuttering this time so that's a good sign.
"Alright what happened to you, why were in the alley," I asked. "They attacked me," she answered, leaving me confused.
"Who attacked you," she began looking more nervous. "Hunters, they've been after me for days," she said. Papyrus and I looked at each other confused.
"Umm ok, now can you take off your hood so we can see your injuries on your face," Papyrus asked. She hesitated but eventually removed her hood.
She had bright, almost glowing, (e/c) eyes, messy (h/c) hair due to her hood being up, and very pale skin.
Along with the busted lip and black eye she had several cuts and scratches on her face as well. "Come with me, we should clean those up," I said helping her stand back up.
"I'm Sans by the way, that's my brother Papyrus," she nodded and continued walking with me. "Thank you," she said quietly.
We got to the bathroom and I had her sit on the sink counter while I tried to find some disinfectant. While cleaning the wounds and her slightly hissing in pain from the alcohol, I noticed her canines were longer than a normal persons.
"I think we're done. Now about your leg. Can I tend to it," she nodded and allowed me to examine it. It looked like she'd been stabbed almost. "What did they do to you," I said under my breath.
"They don't like me, they want me gone," she said. "But what did you do, you seem like such a nice girl," she sighed and motioned for me to stand back up.
"They don't like my kind is what I meant," she began. She could tell I was confused, wasn't she human. She let out a breath and slightly smiled at me. "You saw my fangs, I know you did," she was right I did.
"I'm a freak. A vampire. I wish so bad that I was human," she explained. Ok while this is definitely shocking, this does make sense. "So that's why you had the hood up and your pale skin," she nodded looking away.
"I get it if you want me gone, most people wouldn't even help a Vampire, sorry for not telling you til now," she apologized trying to get up.
I put my hand on her leg to keep her in place. "Are you kidding this is awesome! Does that mean other mythical creatures are real too," I said excited. She shrugged and slightly smiled again.
"You don't have to leave, you've done nothing wrong. You can't go back out, not with those hunters out there," I explained. Her smile got a little wider and she looked happy.
I finished with her leg and took her downstairs to explain everything to Papyrus. He was kinda shocked but in the end excepted her. He was chill about it as we kinda expected.
We let Y/n stay with us, she was healed but I just didn't want her to leave. She was so open with me about what she was and I feel like that's trust I can't just throw away.
And I think that I like her. She was always helping around the house, even helping me get Papyrus to do his chores around the house. Not to mention she was always so nice, despite everything she'd been through.
I planned to tell her when we went on an evening walk, like we did everyday day since she was pretty much nocturnal.
"Y/n I wanted to tell you something," I said trying to hold it together. She cocked her head to the side waiting for me to speak. I didn't get to though.
"Well, if it isn't Y/n. Got a little guard now do ya," a voice said from behind us. She immediately tensed up and looked terrified. "Sans run," she said quietly.
"No, I'm not leaving you here," I said turning to face whoever she was so scared of. It was a group of men, each one with a weapon.
"I think it's best for you to leave, our business is with her," the man closest to me said. "You, you're the ones who hurt her before," I said angrily.
The man slightly nodded and one of the other men went to grab Y/n. "Let go of her," I yelled using a bone attack to hit the man's arm. I made a wall of bones to block the rest while I got her away.
I had Papyrus come teleport us back to our house. Y/n was still shaken up and latched onto my arm.
"It's ok Y/n, as long as we're around they aren't gonna hurt you," Papyrus said trying to relax her. "Come on Y/n, you should lay down for awhile," I said walking with her upstairs to her room.
She laid down but since it was night she wasn't gonna sleep, we just talked till she was completely calm again.
"Thanks Sans. I definitely wouldn't have gotten away from them that time," she said smiling, showing off her fangs. "Of course, I wasn't gonna let them hurt you again," I said putting my hand on her shoulder.
"What were you gonna say before everything happened," she asked. She remembered that, of course she would.
"Uhh, I was gonna say that...that I l-like you,"as soon as I said that she leaned up and kissed my cheekbone. "I like you too Sans," she said cuddling up to me.
"I'm so glad you found me that day. I can't imagine what would've happened without you," she said softly.
"I'm so glad you trusted me that day. That's trust I promise not to break. I love you."
