It's officially the monster's first Christmas on the surface. As well as me and my boyfriend, Sans, first Christmas together.

Only issue, he has a new job... that's having him work on Christmas Eve. So he's working while the rest of the family is having a party.

Everything's decorated. Everyone's so happy, yet I just feel out of place without him.

I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Clause won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day

I know him getting home early tonight is unlikely but I just can't help but glance at the door waiting for him to walk in.

I swear I will wait all night to celebrate with him. I don't care how long I have to wait. Luckily, I think Toriel's pies will keep me awake. She doesn't know when to stop with the sugar sometimes.

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow

Underneath the mistletoe

I will get a Christmas Eve mistletoe kiss if it's the last thing I do. I don't even know why, I just feel like to be an official first Christmas you have to.

I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for St. Nick

Hear those magic reindeer click

Though one thing that's making waiting easier is Frisk and Monster Kid being absolutely ecstatic about Santa coming tonight, Papyrus too.

Even with all this distraction I still can't ignore that he's not here. Knowing him he'd just be lounging on the couch doing nothing, but he'd still be here.

All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
The sounds of children's laughter
Fills the air

The kids are high in hot chocolate, and the tree could be seen from space. The monster's know more about how to decorate than many humans I know.

And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me
The one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me

Maybe it's the eggnog talking but I think Toriel just said Sans was here. I figured I was hearing things so I stayed where I was. Right in the doorway where the mistletoe hung.

Standing right outside my door

Then suddenly I felt something tap my shoulder. I looked up to the face of my boyfriend, looking kinda concerned, while holding out a hand to me.

"Sans, I thought you had to work late tonight", I asked taking his hand. "I was supposed to but, I started talking to one of my coworkers about you. Apparently my boss overheard. He just told us to go home", he explained.

"And I figured I give you a early present", he said looking up at the mistletoe then back at me.

I smiled and leaned into him. The kiss felt like the first one again. Truly Christmas magic I guess.

We parted and went to join the rest of the family. Later we sat on the couch watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (if you haven't seen it your missing out).

"By the way Sans what were you hoping to get for Christmas", I asked sleepily.

He pulled me closer to him to where I was almost laying on him.

"Heh, baby all I wanted for Christmas was you"

(I have many Christmas things in mind for the next few weeks. For you who don't celebrate Christmas I am gonna do one that's just winter weather and not specifically holiday themed)
