"Rurik, hurry up, we need to get in before the lines get too long," you whined, running to the ticket boxes at the amusement park.

"We have plenty of time. Besides we'll be walkin' all day, stop runnin'," he called to you from a few yards back in the parking lot.

"But Lotus is already there, we can't keep him waiting," you whined again, trying to slow your pace slightly as to hear him better.

"Sure we can, a little standin' around won't kill him," he responded, not bothering to keep up with you.

You huffed, ran back to him, grabbed his hand and dragged him along. He didn't try to stop you, but he didn't make it easy for you either.

By the time you got up to the ticket lines your arm was sore from pulling him along.

"About time, I've been here forever," Lotus complained, handing you and Rurik your tickets. "10 minutes ain't forever ya big baby," Rurik shot back.

"Would you two quit it, come on," you said pushing them towards the gates. Once in you began zipping around to all the little carnival-like games near the center of the park.

The boys tried to stay with you, but you had more energy than the both of them combined. And since you were completely distracted all they could do was talk amongst themselves.

"So, are you finally gonna give in and tell her," Lotus asked. "I don't know, how the hell am I gonna when I can't get her to stay still for five seconds," Rurik answered.

"That's your problem, not mine." "Yeah, thanks for the vote of confidence," Rurik said sarcastically.

"Guys," you yelled, slightly scaring them. Especially Rurik, hoping you didn't overhear their conversation.

You didn't seem like you heard anything, you were just proud of the small stuffed Squirtle in your arms.

"We should go do some rides before it gets too hot," you said, looking around the skyline of the park that was visible from the ground.

"How about the observation tower first, so you can get a better view," Lotus recommended. You hurriedly nodded and tried to find the path to the tower.

"Really, the most boring ride here," Rurik asked. "I have a plan," he responded and walked off, leaving Rurik confused.

They finally caught up to you and luckily the ride was almost empty. It was great at first, not so much once you started moving.

You tried your best to stay at the glass to look out over the park but once you got to a certain height the guys could see how jittery you were, and not because of your energy.

"Hey, ya alright, cupcake," Rurik asked. He'd been calling you that for years, thanks to your sweetness and that you usually acted like you were on a sugar rush.

"P-probably should've mentioned I don't like heights," you said not able to tear your gaze away from the window, despite how much you wanted to.

He used one of his hands to turn your head towards him, so you were looking at him rather than outside.

He then grabbed your hand and led you over to one of the benches near the entrance to the tower.

"Ya should've said somethin', we didn't have to do this one," he said. "I know, but I didn't think it went up this high," you replied, you were still holding your stuffed Pokemon tightly.

He could see how tense you still were so he put an arm around you, in an attempt to make you feel safer. And luckily he slowly felt you relax a bit.

This was his chance. He took a breath and tried to psyche himself up. "Hey, look. I-." He stopped once he felt the ride start moving again.

He knew he didn't have the time now. "Oh thank God, we're going back down," you said relieved.

"What were you gonna say," you asked. He just shook his head. "Nothin'. Let's just go find another ride," he answered once you reached the ground again.

You went off to find one of the roller coasters that was closer to the ground, leaving Rurik to kick himself for waiting so long.

"So I'm guessing my plan failed," Lotus asked. "Your plan was to scare her," Rurik asked annoyed. "My plan was for her to get scared so you could comfort her and ask her out," he answered.

"Thanks for tryin' to help, but I think this is just somethin' to do when it feels right, ya know," Rurik said. "Ok one, stop with the lovey dovey talk. And two, your not getting anywhere standing around here."

"You're right, but-. Crap, where'd she go," Rurik said looking around for you. You got distracted by more games and when they finally found you, your arms were full of stuffed animals.

"I regret nothing," you said as you struggled to hold all of them. That got a good laugh out of both of them and they each took a few to make it easier on you.

"You're a handful, ya know that," Rurik joked, his arms now full of your prizes. "That's why you have two hands."

You rode almost every ride in the park by the end of the day, none of the ones that went up too high. And believe it or not, you'd worn yourself out, much to the guy's delight since they could keep up with you now.

"The parks about to close, we should probably get going," Lotus said as you got off the last ride. You nodded.

"I don't think she has the energy to get back to the car," Rurik joked. You glared at him. "You can teleport you know," you said.

"I get the hint," he said grabbing your hand and teleporting out to the parking lot, Lotus not far behind.

"I'm gonna go ahead and go, see ya," he said before teleporting again, this time to his own car. That left you and Rurik alone in the, now pretty much empty, lot.

"That was one of the best days ever," you said, even if you were tired and your legs were sore. "Agreed, but...there's one thing I still need to do," he said.

"So earlier, on the observation tower, when ya asked me what I was gonna say, well it wasn't nothin'," he began, you were just kinda confused.

"I...well. I was gonna say, and what I should've said was that...I love ya, cupcake," he confessed.

You didn't think twice before your arms were wrapped around him, in a very tired hug.

"I love you too Rurik," you said with your face buried into his chest as he wrapped his arms around you as well.

He tried to pull away so he could look at your face, but much to his surprise, you were asleep.

Like you were completely out, and he found that absolutely hilarious.

He picked you up and sat you in the passengers seat with your head leaning against the window, then got in the driver's side.

He moved his hand to yours that you unconsciously moved to the center console. You slightly smiled once you felt his hand on yours, which got a bigger smile from him.

Now today officially was the best day ever.
