Klaus smiles, grabs me by my arm, and drags me down towards the stairs. I struggle against his grip but he's too strong for me.
"Let go of me, Klaus." I snap
He gets down the stairs and Elijah turns towards me, a scowl crossing his face, but not at me; at Klaus.
"Niklaus, let go of her. Now!" He demands
"If you say so, Elijah." Klaus pushes me over to Elijah
Elijah looks down at me and worry crosses his face as he sees me rubbing my wrist from where Klaus was holding it too tight.
"Are you okay?" He asks
"I'm fine." I say plainly
"Want to tell us what you were doing hiding?" Klaus raises his brows
"I wasn't hiding, I was actually about to leave." I state
"What were you doing here, Katerina?" Elijah looks at me
"I was eavesdropping. You guys really came here because Marcel's vampires made a mistake? That's stupid."
"Not that it's any of your business, but yes. Why does that matter?" Klaus questions
"Marcel is very capable of controlling his people. I don't appreciate being cut off because of something this small." I fold my arms
"Awe, you really want to hang out with me. See Elijah, told you she was in love with me." He smirks
"EW, gross. No, I don't want to hang out with you; I want to get it over as soon as possible. Now Marcel, if you would excuse Niklaus and me, we've got things to do." I smile
"Yeah, sure take him off my hands. But before you guys go I want to invite you and your family to a masquerade ball I'm having. Party, drink... eat." He smiles, knowing what he means
"When?" I ask
"Tomorrow night, a bunch of tourists is coming through and it's an exclusive party just for them if you know what I mean." He winks
"This means shopping, I'll be there. Niklaus, you can help me choose a dress."
I smile, grabbing his wrist and pulling him behind me like he did to me. I pull him outside, leaving Elijah behind with Marcel. I'm expecting he'll go back home after this.
"What were you really doing eavesdropping?" Klaus asks
"I'm a nosey person, it won't happen again. Now come on, this dress hunting might take a couple of hours."
We go through a few stores before I finally get down to three dress ideas. Klaus has struck up a couple of conversations and hasn't been annoying once. I try on each dress and Klaus gives his ratings on it, all good ones, which is a surprise.
"Thanks for being a good sport about this, Elijah will much appreciate it."
"You really love him right?" HE asks
I roll my eyes at the question and I let out a huge sigh in annoyance. "Is that even a question?" I raise my brow
"It is, a question that is."
"Of course I love him. It's taking every ounce of me to try not to kill you, for him, not you of course."
"What do you think Elijah will like?" I ask looking over myself in the mirror
(This is where you vote which dress Katherine should wear for Marcel's masquerade ball Season 1, Episode 3)
"Why don't you buy all three and then decide later." Klaus suggests
"Might as well, I can ask Hayley and Rebekah what they think as well. While we are here I'm buying some new shoes. I'll be right back."
I walk off and pull out my phone and call Marcel. It takes a few rings before he answers and he sounds mad.
"Marcel, how great to hear from you." I greet sarcastically
"What do you what, Katherine?" He asks
"I wanted to hear from my LONG time friend. Have something you want to tell me?"
"No, why would I?" He really doesn't know
"Let me sum it up for you, 'Klaus, watch Katherine. You can't trust her.' That's basically what you told him, correct?" He can't see me but I tilt my head to the side
"He can't trust you. I'm trying to get him off my back, okay?"
"Yeah, let's see how much he appreciates how you and Rebekah summoned Mikael a century ago. I wonder if that will get him back on your back." I threaten
"You wouldn't, I thought we were friends." He states
"You put my life in jeopardy, that's not being my friend. You're going to take back what you said and tell Klaus you had it all wrong. Oh, and Marcel, cross me again and I'll kill you." I hang up, hope he got that.
I turn around and Klaus is right behind me, straight face. "Find the shoes?"
"Yup, you ready to checkout?" I ask walking past him
"I had Elijah bring the car, he's waiting outside."
We go outside with one of the store workers and she helps put everything into the trunk of the car all nice and neat. I get in the front seat and Elijah smiles at me.
"Why do you have so many dresses?" He asks
"I couldn't choose, I'm going to enlist in your sister's opinion. I got more than dresses though, a girl needs the whole outfit." I smile back
We get back to the plantation and Klaus and Elijah bring the stuff up to Elijah's room. I go into the living room and Hayley is sitting in there with a blanket around her, watching a movie. Klaus and Elijah fall suit and Klaus looks around.
"Where's Rebekah?"
"She said she'd be right back. Something about getting food, the fridge was empty." Hayley answers
"Hayley, the fridge is full. Where is my sister?" He asks
"Well, then I don't know, Klaus. I'm not your sister's keeper." She goes back to the movie
A few minutes later Rebekah comes in with blood bags I could only assume were from the hospital blood bank.
"Where have you been, Rebekah?" Klaus asks
"Food, we ran out of blood bags." She comments
"See Klaus, she did get food. You really have trust problems."
I laugh taking a seat next to Hayley. He really does have trust problems and for good reason. People are planning on killing him, one of those people being me.
