She Is Your Humanity: Chapter 9

I stand behind Esther as she looks at the empty chains in front of her, the original she captured no longer there. 

"How in the hell did Tatia undo these chains?" She turns to me 

"I don't know, I was kind of preoccupied." 

"It's no matter, soon Elijah will make the decision that I gave him." She takes out her phone and dials Finn, putting it on speaker

"Finn, where is your brother?" 

"He's with Davina, he's trying to unleash Mikael." He answers 

"Mikael, I thought he was dead." I say 

Esther moves her eyes from her phone to me. "Young and gifted Davina brought him back to life. I've chosen to do something that I said I would never do." 

"It's the right thing to do, Mother. Niklaus has denied your offer so you have no other choice than to form an alliance with Mikael." Finn, the usual suck up 

"Are you serious, you're going to get Mikael to kill him!?" 

"No, you are going to team up with Mikael, he will aid in Niklaus's death. I made you  promise and I will hold myself to it." 

"I don't need help from a swine like Mikael, I kill him alone or I don't kill him at all." I snap 

"Klaus is already on his way to Davina and Kol with the lovely Camille, if you want to kill Klaus alone I suggest that you hurry fast." She smiles at me 

Without another word I speed out and call Camille, thankfully she answers.

"Camille, where are you going?" I ask 

"Why?" 

"Klaus is walking into a trap, Mikael is there with Davina. Please tell me where you're at." I beg 

"I'll send the address, hurry soon." 

Camille doesn't even know what she just did, but she'll be mad when she finds out. Apparently, she sent me the address of a cabin just on the outskirts of the quarter which takes me a while to get to. I pull up to see Klaus's car and him and Cami standing on the porch, looking through the windows. 

"They're not here, they probably already left." Cami looks over at him 

"We'll just have to see, won't we." I say picking up a small stone 

I walk up to the front door and softly throw it in the room, knocking Davina out, both her and Kol appearing. Klaus and Cami both look over at me.

"You must really like me to be showing up everywhere I am." He jokes 

"Any chance I get to kill you is any chance I'll take." 

"How'd did you know we would be here?" He asks 

"Not the problem at the moment, Klaus. Did you know that your mother formed an alliance with Mikael?" I cock my head to the side 

"In fact, I have. Thanks to you giving up the white oak stake, I've come here to kill Mikael."

I let out a laugh and reach into my back pocket and pulling out that very same stake that he's talking about. 

"You mean this?" I give a wry smile 

Klaus frantically looks over his body, patting it down for the stake. 

"I've got to admit, your mother may be a bitch but she. is. genius." I laugh  

"Katherine, let's not do anything irrational." Cami moves towards me 

"Stop, Camille. You don't know what it's like to have to live every day of your life knowing the man who slaughtered your entire family is alive and free. Killing Klaus isn't irrational, it's reasonable and needed." 

"You're right, I don't know what that's like but I do know what it's like to lose family and revenge is not the solution." She moves closer to me 

"I don't mean to interject my opinion but I think revenge IS the answer, I mean he did kill her family." Kol adds 

"Camille, go wait in the car. Katherine, Kaleb, and I are going to have a little chat." 

"I will wait in the car if you promise not to hurt the kid OR Katherine." She begs

He shakes his head in agreement and then she does what he told her to. He turns to look at both Kol and me.

"I was wondering when you were going to show your face, Kol." 

"So it is me, hello Niklaus." Kol smiles 

"I'm glad that you guys are having a family reunion and all but I've kind of come here for a reason." I snap 

Klaus takes his attention away from Kol and focuses it on me. "You're threats are as empty as Elijah's heart the months after you left him." He makes a smart response 

"I wouldn't have left if you didn't make me if you didn't threaten my life." 

"You were planning on killing me!" He shouts 

"You killed my family! You killed the only thing that mattered to me for something as stupid as your curse. A curse that you don't even use except to scare the people around you, but I am no longer scared of you Niklaus and I never will be again." 

I speed over to him and push him into the pillar of the front porch, cracking it. I right hook him and then left hook him, another punch to the jaw he falls to his knee. The anger takes me over completely and with all the force that I have I knee him in his chin. As I keep hitting him I can hear Kol trying to wake Davina up and then all of the sudden a force pushes me away, throwing me into a tree. I look up and see Hayley with a very angry look on her face as she tightens her grip on my arms, shaking me.

"Katherine, stop! This isn't what you want!" She yells at me 

I flash her my fangs, wanting her to get away from me before I did something I regret instead she flashes her fangs at me, the level of shock covering my face evident. Once she feels that I'm starting to calm down, her grip on my arms loosens and she lets go. 

"Your face, what happened?" I ask, breath heavy 

"I'm a hybrid now, Katherine. My baby..." Hayley's eyes start to water

"I'm so sorry, I wish I was there for you. I-" I pause when I hear Klaus yelling 

"Camille! Where are you?" 

Hayley and I both speed over to the car to see Klaus opening the trunk, and his face covers in shock when he realizes something. He looks over to me, the anger in his eyes like nothing I've ever seen before. He grabs me by the throat and pins me onto the car, squeezing tight on it. 

"This is all your fault! If you hadn't distracted me, Mikael wouldn't have been able to take her!" He yells, a little spit coming out 

"No, Klaus, this is your fault. Everything you touch decays and sadly Cami has now become your new victim. Get your hands off of me." 

"Klaus..." Hayley touches his arm 

He looks over to her and his face softens along with his grip around my throat. I drop to the ground and let out a couple of coughs. I get up and look over at Klaus who's dialing Cami's phone, no answer. He looks over at me.

"I'll help you find her, then we need to have a discussion about your mother."
