Chapter 2

Katherine's POV

I woke up in Elijah's arms. They were wrapped tightly around my waist and his face was nuzzled in the back of my neck. I slowly turned my body around to face him and as I did that he opened his eyes and pulled me closer to him.

"Good morning Elijah." I say kissing him he rolls over onto his back and gets me on top of him.

"Are you ready for today Katerina?" he asks

"Yes I am. Can't wait to face the person who wanted to sacrifice me and kill my entire family and village and tried hunting me down for five hundred years all because I crossed him. So excited." I said sarcastically

"Now Katerina no need for sarcasm. I know you aren't exactly ready but the sooner we do this the better." he finishes

We get ready and go to get breakfast from the neat little restaurant down the street. we got coffee and a bagel and left on our way to wherever we were going. I don't know how much longer it was but when we got here we pulled onto this gravel driveway where there was two cars. one  recognized as Hayley's and I assumed the other one was Klaus's . I felt Elijah grip my hand and the shaking I didn't notice was there. He lets go and vampire speeds to my door and opens it for me. He grabs my hand and leads me to the front door.

"Here stand behind me so when we he opens the door he wont see you before I want him to." he says me standing behind him. He knocks on the door and a few seconds later Hayley opens the door.

"Who are you?" she asks

"You must be Hayley. I'm Elijah Klaus's brother. Can you get him for me?"

"Klaus some guy who says he is your brother is here!" she yells

From behind Elijah I see Klaus coming out of a room behind Hayley.

"Elijah come on in." he closes the door and he taps me on my side telling me to come from behind him. It took me a few seconds before I stepped out my left heel clicking against the floor then my right. Klaus looks at me and anger fills his face.

"What is she doing here Elijah!?" he yells and I jump.

"Because Niklaus I invited her. And I'm telling you that you aren't going to hurt her."

"Are you telling me what to do in my own house!? I will hurt her if I want to." he vampire speeds over to me and the next thing I know Elijah is throwing Klaus across the room

"I SAID you aren't going to hurt her Niklaus. I cant make that any clearer to you. I love her and if you do anything to harm her there will be consequences. I brought her so you could give her the freedom she deserves."

"Freedom? She made me wait another 500 years to break the curse."

Its about time I spoke up.

"If I remember correctly I got everything ready for you to do the sacrifice. I got the doppleganger, a witch, a vampire and a werewolf. I also worked hard to get the moonstone so I could get my freedom from you. So you should actually be thanking me instead of being an ass!" I finish

"I must say you have guts for yelling at me like that. I respect that. And I am very aware of the help you gave me. I'm only going to say this once and it will never happen again. But I thank you for your service."

"So she can get her freedom?" Elijah asks

"I'll think about it. But until then come sit. We have a lot of catching up to do. Hayley why don't you show Katerina to her room. I suspect her and Elijah will be in the same one. Is that right Katerina?" he asks facing me

"Yes. If that's okay with you." he nods his head towards Hayley

Her and I start walking up the stairs and we turned to the left and she opened the door.

"This is Elijah's room." she extends her hand she walks in behind me and sits on the bed

"I thought you weren't coming?" she asks

"I wasn't. But Elijah convinced me to come. I hope you know I didn't actually send William to kill you. I needed him to get your attention and have you come to me. I needed to tell you that Klaus would have asked you stuff about me. I needed to warn you about how bad he can be. But then you go and sleep with him then get pregnant. I know how hard it is to deal with that. I'm sorry. It's kind of my fault I guess that you got pregnant in the first place."

"Calm down Katherine. It's okay. I'm not mad. But I was kind of hoping to have Tyler's children. Did you know that I was in love with that guy?"

"I hate Tyler. Why him?"

"I don't know. I'm glad you are here I know with you being pregnant before you could help me through this."

"Only the pregnancy part. I never got to raise my child."

Elijah's POV

"Really? You seriously aren't going to give her the freedom she deserves?"

"I do not wish her happiness. She deserves me to hate her for what she did to me."

"What she did to you!? You killed her family and friends she's known her whole life! How could you be so cruel towards her?"

"Because I can!" He yelled

"Then dear brother I can leave with Katerina and I could never speak to you again. Or until you accept that Katerina and I are in love."

"In love. Ha that's funny didn't she just use you to bargain her freedom with the cure incident? She's using you. This will be her revenge on me. This is her plan to tear us apart and when she finally does she'll leave you."

"Niklaus I love her. Nothing you say or do can change that. And like I said you will not hurt her."

"Okay okay I will not hurt her. I promise. But I'm not ready to grant her freedom just yet. She will have to show her loyalty to this family. If she betrays us or hurts you she won't get her freedom. I'll continue to hunt her down for as long as I want." Klaus say

Katherine and Hayley are at the bottom of the stairs.

"I can agree to those terms. But I'll let you know this Klaus I love Elijah and I won't hurt him. Despite you killing family and friends and neighbors of me I will not betray Elijah or you for that matter. Cause like I said in that letter I've ruin too many good heels running from you." Katherine returns

"Now tell me about this problem with my beloved friend Marcel."
