She is Your Humanity: Chapter 12

"Katherine, what are you doing?" Esther asks, looking down at the shackles around her wrist

"It's killed or be killed, Esther and I just happened to choose the first one." I smile

"When did you even plan all of this?"

I look at Klaus who is watching us. "It was quite simple really."

"We need to kill her." I state

"Now why would I want to do that?" He asks, slightly throwing his head to the side

"If I'm not killing you, she'll have Kol and Finn do it."

Klaus lets out a chuckle as he turns around to look at some stupid painting, mumbling something under his breath. He turns back to me.

"What do you suggest?" He asks

I pull the shoulder bag off from around my arm and open it up, facing it to him. He looks down into it and smiles.

"Are those what I think they are?" He asks, raising a brow

"The cursed shackles, they stop any witch from doing all magic as long as they stay on." I pull one out "I have three, one for each of them. Get these around their wrist and we're good to go."

Klaus doesn't say anything as he listens to I presume downstairs. Esther and her other two sons are here. He turns to me and grabs the bag from my hand.

"I'll take one and give it to Hayley, we'll have the other two. Hide this in your jacket." He hands me one

"What are we going to do as soon as we get them?"

"I'm not killing them just yet, we might need them. So Katherine, you ready to partner up for the destruction of my mother?" He smiles

I reach out my hand to him and he shakes it. "I've never been more ready."

I finish telling Esther how we pulled one over on her and I can't help the smile that's crossing my face. She lets out a huff as I lead her to sit down in a chair, Klaus and Hayley doing the same with Kol and Finn.

"You are going to regret this, Katherine." Finn chimes in and I turn to him

"You'll be dead before that happens, as well as your mother and brother."

I look away from him and back at Esther who is obviously very mad and she shakes her head at me.

"Why are you doing this? I made you who you are!" She shouts at me

I let out a small laugh and stalk my way over to Esther, facing her chair towards me, and I bend down becoming closer to her eyes. I look down at her shackles at first before panning my eyes to hers.

"I'm not an idiot, Esther. You don't think I heard about your little meeting with Finn and Kol behind my back? You want them to strip me of my vampirism and then shove a stake through my heart." I cock my head to the side, her eyes opening wide

"No one else was there, just Finn and Kol, how did you know?" She asks

"You see, I can't exactly tell you. I told the person I would protect them." I shrug my shoulders and get up from my position

Esther rushes up at me and gets in my face, the shackles clanking together. She stares into my eyes and lets out a laugh.

"When I get out of these shackles, I'll kill you myself, I can promise you that."

"Katherine, you can take my mother. Do with her what you please." Klaus says, turning to me

A smile crosses my face and I take a look at Esther who seems to keep the wide-eyed look. She looks between me and Klaus and when she sees the happiness crossing my face she turns to Klaus and starts begging.

"Niklaus, please, don't let her take me. Please, I'll do anything."

"I'm sorry mother but this is between you and Katherine. Goodbye." He waves us off

I grab Esther up by her arm and drag her out the compound towards my car and toss her into the backseat. I get into the car and drive off towards the old plantation house is. Once we get there, I take her out of the car and unkey her shackles. When they drop to the ground she rubs her wrist and smiles up at me.

"That was quite the performance, Katerina. Do you think Niklaus believed it?" She asks

"We'll see. Right now I have to make it look like I did some damage, I would say I'm sorry for what I'm about to do but I'm not." I say before I connect my fist to her face

I didn't do too much to Esther, I do need her to be strong enough to go with our plan. She holds an ice pack to her face as she groans in the passenger seat. I roll my eyes and turn to look at the road.

"Stop being so dramatic, I didn't even hit you that many times." I shrug

"You bit me!" She raises her voice a little

"Like I said a thousand times before, I needed to make it look realistic. Stop whining." I demand

She looks at me with a scowl on her face. "You do know that I can still kill you, you haven't put the shackles back on." She threatens

I take in a breath and I press down on the breaks, making them screech, and come to a complete stop. I get out of the car and grab the shackles from the backseat and move along to the passenger side of the car. I grab her wrist and put them back on her and she scowls, giving me a 'really' look.

"There, now they're back on. Want to try threatening me again?" I raise a brow

She doesn't answer and just rolls her eyes and we take the rest of the drive back to the compound in silence. I take her out of the car and we walk up to the front where Tatia is waiting for us.

"Are they ready?" I ask

She just nods her head and leads us into the compound.
