Chapter 4

Klaus's POV

I close the lid to my brothers casket and dial Marcel's number. I want to hand Elijah over as quick as possible if I am to gain his trust.

"Hello marcel yes this is Klaus. I have something that I think will have great importance to you. Do you have a place we can meet?"

I get to the docks and I see Marcel standing by the water.

"Well ,well ,well if it isn't Klaus as  live and breathe." I hear Marcel behind me

"Aren't you the one that asked me to come here?"

"Where's the thing that you said would be of value?"

"We should go to my car." I motion my hand back towards the outside door

He walks in front of me and I follow behind. Once we get to the car I open the back hatch and Marcel looks at  me

"How is this supposed to be important to me?"

"I was thinking by giving my brother to you I prove my allegiance. And you can't possibly think that I can overrule you and all your vampires by myself now do you?"

"I guess that makes you my new friend. Seeing how Katherine is with Elijah I'm sure she wasn't too happy with this."

"I snapped her neck. She's probably awake by now but she won't know where he is because you'll have him in a safe place right?"

"Yes. I won't tell her where he is. Even if she is my friend. Leave me here I'll have someone come pick me up."

Katherine's POV

I woke up in a bed with dark blue sheets and I feel my neck where Klaus snapped it. I look up and Hayley is sitting next to me in a wooden chair.

"Katherine it's about time you woke up. I'm sorry but he took Elijah."

I get up quickly and vamp speed down the stairs. I check all over the place and I run over to the door when I hear it open. I speed towards Klaus and grab him by his neck and pin him against the wall. He grabs my wrist and tries the move it but I only tighten my grip around hid neck.

"You might be stronger than me but I'm pissed. I wonder who's strengths will win in the end. What the hell is wrong with you!?

"Katherine!" Hayley raises her voice

"There's no sense Elijah agreed. Plus you'll get him back. Now Klaus promise me that when Katherine lets you go you won't hurt her."

"I promise." I let go of him.

"Look Katerina Elijah kindly went ahead and said I could. Are you really going to get mad over his decision?" he asks me

"Now let's discuss what we do after this." We walk towards the kitchen

"Until I completely gain his trust again then we'll try and get Elijah back. Marcel has a trusted circle of vampires and these vampires have daylight rings. I already know you have something for that Katerina but I need you to get into his trusted circle so we can have a person on the inside."

"Why me?" I ask

"Because you are the only vampire here and you have been friends with Marcel for what a little over 200 years."

"This way he has someone he can trust to tell us what is happening  inside."

"And how do you know you can trust I will tell you things?"

"Because I will kill you if you betray me. Also, this might sweeten the deal." He  point his arm at the door

The door opens and a woman with long brown hair and brown eyes walks in the door.

"Katerina, this is your daughter. Nadia Petrova." my mouth dropped

"How is that even possible?" I ask my eyes watering

"She wanted to find her mother that she thought gave her away because you didn't want her. She has been trying to find you for the past 500 years." he finishes

I run over to the girl standing before me and I hug her. She wraps her arms around me and hugs back.

"I can't believe this. This is unbelievable you look just like me. Oh my god, I can't wait to tell Ivan about this. He's going to be so excited to meet our daughter."

"Wait my father is alive?" Nadia asks her face stunned

"Yeah, He's been by my side for the past five hundred years. I loved him but he was one of the people who was trapped in the tomb since 1864. When he finally got out he had left town. I found him and now we are in contact." I admit

She hugs me again.

"Can I meet him?" 

"I haven't talked to him in a while but I can see what I can do." I smile

"Now that that's out of the way, we need a plan."

"Why? It's not that hard. Get into Marcel's trusted circle, get information, and destroy it from the inside. Easy, Peasy."

"If you really think that it's not going to be hard you are crazy." Klaus says

"Crazy, yes; hard, no. You always overthink too much, you let things slip past you. How did you think I got away." I mention

"Well, you did have the help of Trevor."

"Yeah, exactly my point. You thought of everything except whether or not there would be someone to help me. You didn't think of the possibility of me figuring it out and running. I'm telling you, this will be the easiest and most effective way to get you your precious town back." 

"Fine, we'll do your plan, but if it fails then there will be some serious problems. Problems even Elijah won't be able to protect you from. Is that understood?" Klaus demands

I don't say anything and just look down at my feet.

"I said, Is that understood Katherine!?" He raises his voice 

I jump at the loudness of it. I look up at him and into his eyes.

"Understood." I mumble

He walks closer to me and moves a strand of hair out of my face. 

"You're still scared of me, Good. The only way I can get you to do what I want."
