"It's okay, Katerina." Elijah's word remains stuck in my head all the way to the compound. Once all this Klaus stuff is said and done, I'm coming after you, Esther. I think to myself. I get to the compound and stand outside, listening in for anyone. I hear both Marcel and Niklaus talking about Esther and what their plan is for her.

"Why should I trust you, Marcellus? You not only aided in my demise with Katerina but you're also the reason that my child died." Klaus says

"We have a common enemy, Klaus, your mother. She's using the witches against my vampires and she's a threat to your life, I'm not."

"My mother is using Katerina to kill me, Katherine Pierce. She couldn't be a match against me even if she tried." Klaus chuckles

Oh, whatever. Alaric was stronger than him and I'm even stronger than Alaric. I've had enough of this lame conversation. I sneak into the compound as quietly as I can, staying out of sight. Klaus and Marcel keep talking as I look around into the room. Marcel is facing the door and Klaus is looking away from it, Marcel makes eye contact with me then turns back to Klaus.

"Fine, don't help me. When Katherine and your mother succeed in killing you, then you'll wish you would have taken my side." Marcel snaps before leaving the room, walking past me with a wave

Klaus picks up a paperweight and throws it into a painting, the canvas ripping at the impact. He runs his hands through his hair and turns towards the door.

"Come on out, Katherine. I smelled you the moment you stepped foot into my compound." He boasts

I step from behind the wall and smile at him, walking farther into the room.

"Awe, you know what I smell like, how nice." I giggle

"I don't know why my mother thinks that you can kill me, you're weak. Always have been, always will be."

Without a thought I charge straight at him, ramming him into the wall. I raise up my right fist and smash it against his face, his lip bleeding.

"Is that all you've got?" He chuckles

I grab him by his wrist and toss him across the room, his back hitting the door frame. I run over to kick him but when I do he grabs my ankle and pulls me to the ground. He gets a hold of me and flips me over, pinning me to the floor.

"Why don't you stop while you're ahead?" He suggests

"Never!" I shout

I lift my knee up and hit him in the stomach and as a reflex, he bites me in the neck. I yelp out in pain as he gets up off of me.

"That looks like a nasty bite, you should take care of that." He mocks

I laugh at his statement as the wound on my neck starts to heal, his face covered in shock.

"Oh, Niklaus, not only did your mom make me stronger than you, but she also made me immune to a werewolf or hybrid bite."

Klaus comes after me and I dodge, moving to the other side of the room. I reach in my back pocket and pull out the white oak stake, another face of shock from Klaus.

"Oh, this? Your mom cloaks it until comes into contact with my hand." I smile

"This just got a whole lot serious." He states, both of us running to attack each other

Elijah's POV

The memory of me killing Tatia replays in my head as my mother planned. All of a sudden I smell something really good... blood. I can feel as my eyelids start to flutter open and I see a bloodied wrist.

"Elijah, you need to drink. Esther is almost on her way back." I hear a faint voice

I look up and I see the familiar brown hair and brown eyes of my lovely Katerina.

"Katerina?" I ask

"No, it's Tatia. Katherine is trying to kill Klaus as we speak, we have to go."

Without another word from me or her, she presses her wrist up to my mouth, the blood running down my throat into my veins. My fangs emerge and I bite into her wrist as she winces in pain. After a moment I move away as she takes down the chains.

"Why are you helping me?" I ask

"Your mother thinks I'm on her side, she's wrong. Now let's go before Katherine succeeds."

Tatia hands me a blood bag and I gulp it, finally feeling full. I grab Tatia by her wrist and speed off, going on our way to the compound. Once we get there I listen upstairs at the commotion.

"Katerina!" I yell, running up the stairs

I watch as Katerina has the white oak stick shoved into Niklaus's stomach.

"You missed." He taunts her

"Next time, I'll make sure I don't." She smirks, pulling the stake out

She raises it above her head and before she strikes I run over to her, pinning her to the wall by her wrist, resulting in her dropping the white oak stake. Niklaus takes the chance and picks up the stake, placing it inside of his jacket pocket.

"Katerina... this isn't the way to do this." I plead

"He killed my family, made me run for five hundred years, bit me. He ruined my life."

I can see the anger on her face grow angrier and angrier each time she glances over at Niklaus, a smirk plastered on his face.

"Your life isn't ruined, Katerina, you have people that love you. Your daughter, Hayley, me. I love you, Katerina and the best revenge is not killing my brother, it's being happy and proving to him that he can't control you anymore." I state, looking into her eyes

For a moment I see a flash of love and her face softens, looking back into my eyes. But just as quickly the only emotions that fill them are anger, red hot anger.

"Well that's too bad, I don't love Hayley and I don't love you." She spats

I'm taken back by her words and my grip loosens and she's able to break free from me. She shoves me out of the way and makes her way back to Niklaus.

"I'll be back for that stake, Klaus. Keep it safe for me. Come on, Tatia." She demands

Tatia looks between Niklaus and me, then back at Katerina. "No, I won't be used as a pawn in Esther's game."

Katerina turns around and glares at her, her face now covered in disbelief.

"Esthers not going to like that very much." Katerina threatens

"I'll be protecting Tatia from now on." I state, stepping in front of her

"Are you really falling for this, Elijah? Tatia is just tricking you to help them." Niklaus bites out

"I don't believe so, Niklaus. She saved me from Esther, healed me, and brought me here. I trust her."

"You're so gullible, just like you were a thousand years ago." Niklaus scoffs

"Ugh, you guys are so boring. It's a shame that you have to die, Tatia. Elijah, have fun with your old new girlfriend while you can and Klaus, watch your back. I'll come for you, and destroy everything you hold dear, You can trust me with that." Katerina winks, disappearing out of sight
