The next few weeks, Tobias helps me after clinical studying for my comprehensive exam since I've been a nervous wreck attempting to studying. The comprehensive exam is the last thing standing between graduation and me. If I don't pass, I don't graduate, and I can't handle another year with Marcus. He quizzes me left and right. We can be sitting at the dinner table speaking about something completely different, and he will toss a medical question at me. I'm grateful for the extra help from him since he's smart.

On the day of the exam, nerves fill my stomach when Tobias walk beside me into the hospital. The back of his hand brushes mine while I look over last-minute notes once again. He murmurs encouragingly, "I love you! Good luck, Tris! Breathe! You have got this! You know your material." His lips press against my cheek. He winks before turning to walk toward the busy elevators. I sit in a chair, waiting for Christina. While I wait, a thought comes to the forefront of my mind. I'm standing in the same place where Tobias first spoke to me. So much has changed since that first day. My eyes are drawn to a nervous-looking Christina. She slumps into the chair beside me, whispering, "I'm so nervous. I feel like I'm going to throw up." Brushing my fingers over my legs, I sigh, "Me too, Chris. I have felt sick since I woke up this morning, but we have got this."

My eyes skate to my watch. I ask, "Shall we?" Holding my hand out to her. She grabs it, and we walk across the street from the hospital to the testing center. While walking, I recall what I wanted to ask Christina. I grin, "Would you be my maid of honor. I know the wedding isn't until next year, but I can't think of anyone else I would want to stand next to me while I step into this new life with Four." She stops midstep, hugging me, smiling, "I would love to, but let's make it through this alive first, then we can discuss your marriage to Four." When Christina and I enter the testing center nervously. My hands are shaking when I sit down at the green screen computer. Marcus saunters over to me with a smirk, grinning, "Good luck, Miss Prior. Dr. Eaton won't be here to help you out of this mess. He isn't here to feed you all the right answers. I guess I will be seeing you next year to repeat your senior year." I attempt to ignore him, not internally I'm fuming. How dare he think Tobias supply me with the correct answers to all the questions. The computer turns on. The first question appears on the screen. The test seems easy, but Tobias is a great teacher. When the computer finally turns off, my score appears on the screen. I blink, not believing my eyes. I passed.

"Take the Marcus! I passed!" I whisper to myself. Quickly, I walk from the testing center room. Chris is emerging from her room at the same time I am. She grins, "So?" Happily, I reply, "I passed. What about you?" A smile spreads across her lips, "I did too." We stand in the lobby, giggling, jumping up and down together. Tears escape Christina's eyes. She groans, "Stupid pregnancy hormones making me cry all the time at the drop of a hat. I giggle, "You better get used to those for the time being." Christina rolls her eyes at me. I continue, " Marcus tried to piss me off before the test today." She lifts an eyebrow, asking, "Really? At least we don't have to deal with him for much longer." I laugh, "That's the truth!" Chris and I wait for the rest of our clinical group in the cafeteria, waiting to see if everyone passed as well.

In the cafeteria, Uriah grins, "We should go out to celebrate everyone passing their exit exam! We can go to the Friendly's for ice cream." Everyone nods their head in agreement. I smile, "I'll be right back. I have to run over to the hospital quickly." Running over to the hospital, I spot Tobias immediately walking down a hall from behind. I grab him from behind and begin to pull him toward an empty room. At first, he resists my attempts until he realizes it's me, then he willingly follows, laughing. Jokingly, he asks, "Where's the fire?" When the door shuts, I jump on him with a smile on my lips, grinning, "Guess what? I passed my exam! I get to graduate as long as Marcus passes me for my clinical portion." He smiles, "That's great. I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it. I would watch yourself concerning Marcus. He has been snooping around today even though your clinical group wasn't here, asking questions. I think he is trying to make trouble." I press my lips against Tobias's quickly, then leave. Tobias grins, " That's all I get after helping you for hours on end with studying?" I giggle, walk back to him slowly, press my lips against his once again, and walk out the door, leaving him in the empty room, rolling his eyes at me. While I spin his car keys around my fingertips.
