That morning, I wake up feeling refreshed, ready to start my day, wondering to myself what Tobias has planned for it. That man is full of surprises all the time as I walk down the stairs trying to figure out what to make for breakfast the table catches my attention. There is an assortment of breakfast foods laid out everywhere, and Tobias is walking into the door with a plateful of pancakes wearing a pair of sweatpants with a t-shirt.
He murmurs, smiling at me, "Good morning beautiful! I'm glad you decided to join the world of the living. I was just going to come and wake you up from dreamland. I made you some breakfast."
My eyes drift to the table as I smile at him, saying, "I see that. That was very thoughtful of you, thank you." My eyes landing on the hot chocolate with marshmallows, fresh fruit, and pancakes.
Tobias and I eat breakfast together discussing nothing of importance. When I look outside, I see it has snowed even more outside. There is now at least a foot and a half more of snow on the ground then there was last night. A smile falls onto my lips as I say, "Tobias, I want to go outside and play in the snow today! Can we do that, or do you have something else planned?"
A smile tugs at his lips as he says, "Actually, It is as if you can read my mind. I was thinking the same exact thing. I can't remember the last time I played in the snow. It was probably when I was a kid."
My mind drifts to wondering what Tobias was like as a child as I take off, running up the stairs to get ready, putting on warm winter clothes. I send a mental thank you to Christina for making me pack snow pants, a hat, and gloves. At the time, I thought she was crazy, but to appease her, I took the extra clothing.
As I run down the stair, my mind set on having a snowball fight with Tobias first, I yell, "Tobias, I'm going outside. Meet me out there." I don't wait for a response, to walk out the door, and start making snowballs. I don't see Tobias walk out the door. I am too busy making snowballs, but when my eyes catch his appearance, my jaw hits the snow-covered ground. He looks amazing, wearing his black winter coat, gloves, hat, with his green snow pants. He looks like he just walked off a sporting magazine.
I smirk to myself as I pick up a snowball, and hit him square in the chest. He yells jokingly, "Hey! That wasn't very nice. You aren't supposed to attack someone who clearly isn't ready or isn't expecting it."
I grin at him, "Where is the fun in that?" As I throw another snowball at him, smacking him in the arm. As I am getting ready to throw another one, I feel cold, wet snow hit my head. I scream, "Hey! That's not fair!"
He smirks, "All is fair in love and war, baby," as he tosses another snowball at me. My supply is starting to run low. I decide to make a run for it. Tobias takes off after me. I try to outrun him, dodging behind a tree, before he can see where I went to. I try to contain my giggle as I hear him laughing, "Tris, come out, come out, where ever you are."
Checking around the tree, to see if my coast if clear, I see his back is to me. I quickly make another snowball, toss it at him, nailing him in the back, then take off running. He chases after me as he says, "Why am I running after you? I haven't chased after a girl since middle school."
I yell back, "Because Tobias, you love me, and if you catch me, I will give you a kiss." As my words hit his ears, he picks up the pace, running even faster after me. Tobias catches me, tackling me to the ground, pinning me. As we both lay there panting from running, he asks, "I caught you! Now, where is my kiss?"
I smirk at him, deciding to play hard to get as I say, "Nope, you cheated somehow! No kiss for you."
Tobias laughs as he says, "I did not. I won fair and square." My lips lightly touch his, but then he deepens it, and we lay there in the snow passionately kissing for a while. He pulls back, our foreheads resting on one another's as he says, "Come on, Tris. Let's go inside, and we can warm up."
