It's Christmas Eve today, Tobias and I are going to my parent's house for dinner, then going up to the cabin for a relaxing Christmas Day. For the rest of the week, we are planning on having a relaxing vacation together at the cabin. Tobias changes his shirt five times, messes with his hair, and paces around the house like a caged animal constantly running his fingers through his once combed hair, he is stressed. He touching his fingers to his face, mentioning how he couldn't get a close enough shave. My eyes float to him in the mirror, he is beyond nervous to be meeting my dad, his eyes meet mine, asking, "Do you think we should bring them a bottle of wine or something?" I smirk, shaking my head, "I think all the desserts and the presents are more than enough." My hands shake applying my lipstick, I'm nervous a little too, I never brought a boy home before to meet my father. I feel like I'm going to throw up. Although, Tobias looks like he is handling his nerves better than I am as he grasps my shoulders in his hands, steadying me from falling over.

With Tobias having so much energy, I ask, "Can you pack the presents, please?" Tobias doesn't respond, moving from the room immediately. I find him in the living room once I'm finished getting ready to try to keep my mind off what is going to happen today. Tobias helps me pack the remaining presents into a big red Santa sack, and the ones we brought for my family, I place into a big reindeer bag. Heading into the kitchen, I find on the table, the Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies, the chocolate cakes he loves, Jell-o, brownies, and sugar cookies. Tobias groaned about all the baking, but he secretly enjoys the time we spend together in the kitchen.

This morning, Tobias and I were lazy, catching up on some sleep, and lounging in his bed. While he was resting, I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the house, listening to Christmas music in my headphones while my mind drifted off to tonight. After we load everything into the car, we drive to mom's house. Tobias and I, listen to Christmas music, we laugh about how out of sync we are with the music, having fun singing together. When we arrive at the house, Caleb and Susan pull in, at the same time. "Hey, Caleb and Susan," I wave, exiting the car. Tobias walks closer to me, placing his arm around me, drawing me closer to his side. "Hey Tris," Caleb and Susan say in unison. Susan continues to speak, her eyes falling onto Tobias, "Hi Tobias, it is nice to see you again." Caleb pretends Tobias isn't standing next to me, ignoring him. Susan elbows him, replying, "Caleb, you promised you would behave! We had this discussion after Thanksgiving. Tobias is a part of Tris's life, whether you like it or not! You need to accept that and move on!" Caleb answers irritably, "Yeah, Yeah, I know!" Susan smacks Caleb in the side once again, he says after a long awkward pause, "Hello Tobias," his hand reaching out to give him a handshake." Tobias evenly says, "Caleb, it is nice to see you again," taking his hand, shaking it. Caleb drops Tobias's hand quickly, turning to me, he smirks, "Anyways sis, I was thinking, since dad is home, and he is never home for the holidays, we should put our arguments aside, to try to get along for him. We don't know when the next holiday he will be home, will be." Smiling sweetly, I reply, "I couldn't agree more," sticking my hand out to him. Caleb grabs it, pulling me into a hug, which breaks Tobias's arm from around me. When I break away from Caleb's hug, Tobias has a fake smile plastered on his face. I attempt to give him a small, reassuring smile back.

Caleb seems to be in a great mood as we all head inside, we don't bother to knock before entering, mom always yelling at everyone to not knock, and take our coats off, placing them into the closet. Walking into the living room, I am blinded by the sight before me of my parents, making out on the couch. Luckily, both my parents are still clothed, but my mother is laying on top of my father, and neither of them have noticed we are here. My cheeks burn at the sight unfolding before me. Movement from the corner of my eyes catches my attention, Caleb is standing next to me, his eyes are shut, I bury my head into Tobias's chest attempting to shield my eyes from the sight. Tobias's arms wrap around me, pulling me to him, turning us around, walking out of the room. Susan looks embarrassed, tugging Caleb with her.
