Chapter 22 - Working in the Shop

~Reader's P.O.V~

"Good Morning Michelle, Lou." I told them as I came downstairs ready to help. Since I was always out with Alois, Ciel, and Lizzy I really never got to help around the shop as much. I wanted to help them today as much as possible.

"Good Morning (F/N), you're awfully happy for someone who is not a morning person." Lou said.

"I'm just ready to help out! What should I do?" I asked.

"You can watch the front and the phone today, okay (F/N)?"

"Yes sir!" I shouted before I ran to the front of the shop. I got all the papers ready and got the phone ready to take down information. I peeked my head through the doorway where Lou was working.

"Do you need me to organize anything up front?" I asked.

"Yes please. Organize the teas below the counter that we didn't put back." He said not looking up from his work. I nodded and began to take the tea out from below the counter.

"Black Tea, Green Tea, Jasmine Tea.." I said to myself as I picked up the container and brought it to its original spot. Then the doorbell rang.

"Good morning! Welcome to 'Teas of Life' Ms. Katherine! Nice seeing you today! How can I help?" I asked as I finished placing the tea in its correct spot.

"Ah (F/N)! Nice seeing you today too! I missed you the last couple days. Could you get me three scoops of 'Blooming Tea'?" Ms. Katherine asked.

"Absolutely! I'll have it ready in a few seconds. I went to find the 'Blooming Tea' and i scooped three scoops into a bag and tied it. I went back to the counter and I bagged it again and handed it to Ms.Katherine.

"Here you go! Enjoy!" I replied as she gave me the money. She waved good-bye and left the store. I wrote down what she bought so we can keep track of who buys what.

The day went by and it was already noon. I had helped a bunch of customers already and it was really nice to work in the shop again.

"Lou! We're running out of 'Green Tea'!" I shouted from the counter.

"I'll refill that soon!" He shouted back.

"Okay!" I replied as I got back to work. Lou wanted me to write labels for the teas because he said I had nice handwriting. Then I placed them on the containers with the new teas. Then as usual I placed the teas on the counters in alphabetical order. As I was doing that the phone rang. I ran to go pick it up.

"Hello this is (F/N) from 'Teas of Life'. How may I assist in your order today?" I asked from the phone.

"Yes..Yup..Correct...When will that be?...Absolutely...Alright! I'll see you soon...Bye!" I said as I answered the questions of an order. They wanted some 'Blueberry Kona Pop Tea Blend'. It was a really tasty kind of tea. You know, the ones with a lot of flavor? So I got that ready for them.

Soon they came to pick up the order and I got the money they gave me. 'I feel so successful today!' I thought to myself. I continued to count the teas that we had and right down what needed to be refilled. Then the doorbell rang.

"Hello! Welcome to-" I got cut off from being speechless and in shock. At the door standing was Ciel. What was he doing here!?

"W-Welcome t-to 'T-Teas of Life'! H-how may I h-help you?" I stuttered from shock. I tried to keep my cool.

"Oh hey (F/N)." Ciel said.

"Just want to observe you at work."

"W-why?" I asked.

"Because." He replied. I sighed.

"Where's Sebastian?" I asked.

"At the manor. I came alone."

"You did? Does he know?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Ciel, the shop says no loitering."

"Fine, give me some 'Earl Grey Tea'." He commands. I almost shot a glare at him but I kept my cool. Was he trying to get me to be mad or something? Soon I had the tea ready and I gave it to him.

"You know that costs." I told him. He stuck out some money. I gave him a look but I took it. I sighed and sat down in front of him. There was awkward silence..

"So, what do you do when you work?" He asked.

"You'll see when a customer comes in." I told him. Right after I said that a customer came in.

"Like now." I said to him before standing up.

"Welcome to 'Teas of Life!"

~Ciel's P.O.V~

"Welcome to 'Teas of Life! How may I help you today?" (F/N) asked as she smiled sweetly.

"Can I have some 'Oolong Tea' (F/N)?" The customer asked.

"Sure thing Larry!" (F/N) replied as she went over to get a container.

"How many scoops?" (F/N) asked.

"Two is just fine." Larry said. (F/N) scooped two scoops into a bag and tied it up before putting it into another bag. They also had small talk.

"Who is the young man here?" Larry asked looking at me.

"Oh, he's just a friend." (F/N) replied. She was really good with the costumers from what I could tell.

"Here you go Larry." (F/N) said giving him the bag.

"Thank you (F/N)! Here you go." He said as he handed her the money and left the store. (F/N) waved good-bye then she plopped down on the chair.

"That's what I do." She replied. I nodded.

"You're really good with the costumers." I said.

"Yeah, a lot of regulars come in to get tea." She replied. We heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Ah Ciel! I thought I heard your voice!" Michelle said as she came downstairs.

"Hello Michelle." I replied. She look like she had just woken up.

"Sorry, I just woke up. The baby keeps me in bed longer!" She said as she put her hands under her belly making her bump show more. Her belly was getting really big since she was pregnant.

"It's fine Michelle." (F/N) said. Michelle walked over to us and we heard the doorbell ring. We looked up and it was a man in a black trench coat. Kinda scary.

"Welcome to 'Teas of Life'. How can I assist you today sir?" (F/N) asked. That's when he pulled out a gun towards all of us. We all froze in our place.

"Give me all of your money."
