Chapter 31 - Ice Cold Ocean

Hai~ Sorry for the late update! I've been having some writers block and my grades in school (math) aren't that good..anyways enjoy the story!~

~Reader's P.O.V~

 

"Crap, no more lifeboats." Ciel muttered. I looked at him and I held his hand.

"It's okay." I said to him. He looked at me but he looked away soon after that.

"Young Master follow me, I have a way to get you two to safety." Sebastian said to the both of us. Ciel nodded and he gripped my hand more and we ran through all the crowds of people and zombies. We ran up some stairs and we stopped at the top by the railings.

"Why are we here?" Ciel asked.

"Put these on." Sebastian said as he threw us some life rings (A/N: Idk, the circle thingys that help you float.)

"Okay." I replied as I put my life ring on.

"What? (F/N)! You're putting it on?!" Ciel asked in shock.

"Well, if Sebastian wants me to then sure. I trust Sebastian's plan." I told him. Ciel sighed and he agreed to put the life ring on. I climbed onto the railings and kept my balance.

"Well, I'll go first." I said right before I was going to jump into the ocean a hand stopped me. I turned around and I looked at Sebastian.

"Hmm?" I asked.

"Miss (F/N), I would suggest you take off some of your layers. That dress will make you sink faster." Sebastian said. I thought about it for a second. I decided he was right and I climbed down the railing and took off most of my dress leaving me in my corset and my under skirt. I looked over at Ciel and he blushed and looked away.

"Pfft, it's not like i'm naked." I joked. I put on my life ring again and I stood on the railing. I faced ciel and sebastian before jumping off.

"Well, i'll so you guys soon." I said as I jumped off while giving them a solute.

*SPLASH*

"AHH! IT'S SO COLD!" I screamed as I hit the water. I looked up and I saw Ciel and Sebastian looking down to see if I was there. I waved at them.

"Young Master, It's your turn to jump." I heard Sebastian say.

"What! You're crazy!" I heard Ciel say back. Then I saw Sebastian lift Ciel up, Ciel was struggling to escape his hold. Then Sebastian let go of Ciel and he fell into the ocean right besides me. He popped up from the ocean and he was shivering.

"I-I am the c-c-cold one here, look I am only in my c-corset." I said shivering and holding onto my life ring. Ciel took off his blazer and pulled himself closer to me. He put his arm around my arms and held me close. I blushed at what he was doing but at the same time i loved it.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked.

"K-keeping us warm." He said.

"C-come on, lets s-swim over th-there." Ciel said pointing to an empty boat. I nodded and we swam over there together. I got into the boat first and I was about to pull Ciel into the boat but he got pulled into the water.

"AHH!" Ciel screamed.

"Ciel?!" I asked. I was so scared that I just dove into the water to grab Ciel. He was sinking kinda fast but I managed to swim faster and pull him up. A zombie took him under water and was about to bite his foot but i kicked it in the face and it sank underwater. I took Ciel and I swam to the surface of the water. I threw him into the boat and and climbed on after him. He was breathing really hard.

"A-are y-you okay?" I asked. He nodded but he was shivering just as much as I was.

"Your l-lips are p-purple." He said to me. I put my hands on my lips to feel how cold I was but my hands were just as cold so I couldn't really feel anything.

"It's c-cold." Ciel said to me.

"I kn-n-know." I replied.

"Ah-choo." I sneezed softly.

"You're getting sick." He replied.

"Ah-choo." Ciel sneezed. I scooted closer to give him a hug.

"Why are you giving me a h-hug?" Ciel asked. He can be so dense sometimes..

"It's j-just like you said. I'm keeping us warm." I said. Ciel didnt reply anything back but we stayed liked that for a few seconds. I could feel myself freezing, my hair should have been solid ice by now.

"C-Ciel? H-how are y-you feeling?" I asked but I didn't receive and answer. Instead I heard him silently snoring and I laughed to myself. I turned my head slightly to see his face and he looked like a baby sleeping. I continued to hug him to keep us warm, I'm pretty sure he was feeling a bit warmer but I was still cold. Then Sebastian appeared in the boat with us from out of no where.

"Sorry Lady (F/N). That took a bit longer than I thought." Sebastian asked.

"It's f-fine." I replied.

"Y-you did good Sebastian. Take a good rest when we go back to the manor." I said to him.

"Thank you Miss (F/N), and why are you hugging Young Master?" Sebastian asked. I blushed.

"W-well, I'm h-hugging him t-to keep him w-warm." I replied.

"And h-he f-fell asleep." I continued. Sebastian nodded.

"I shall take you two to the manor now. Our case here is done now." Sebastian said.

~Time Skip to the Manor~

Michelle agreed on me staying at the manor so Sebastian and them could take care of me because Ciel and I caught a cold staying in the cold for so long. I stayed in their guest room and Mey-Rin would bring me some food every now and then.

"Thank you Mey-Rin." I replied accepting the soup she gave me.

"You're very welcome, yes you are." She said before leaving my room. I sat on my bed with the covers on my legs. I drank the warm soup and admired the flavors.

"Ah-choo!" I sneezed. It has already been a week in the manor with them. I heard a knock on the door and I gave a faint reply to the knock. The door opened and Ciel stepped in.

"Hello Ciel." I replied as I set my soup down. He walked over to my bed and pulled a chair and sat down by me bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm..I'm okay.." I replied.

"It sucks to be sick, you get restrained from doing the things you want to do." I said as I let out a big sigh.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"I'm still sick but i'm better." He said. I was more sick than Ciel because I barely had any cloithes on and I was helping Ciel stay warm so the coldness got to me more than it did to him.

"That's good." I said as I gave him a small smile. We just sat there in quietness. I looked down and I played with my fingers, nobody was talking so it was awkward.

"Thank you (F/N)." He said. My eyes grew wide at what he said and I turned to look at him.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Thank you. Thanks for saving me in the water and for helping me stay warm on the boat. I was feeling warmer, I'm sure you were cold." He said.

"You're welcome." I said as I gave him a smile.

"Oh, (F/N)." Ciel asked.

"Yeah?" I replied looking into his deep blue eyes. He reached over and held my hand with his, and he continued to look into my eyes. We both had blushes starting to form on our cheeks.

"I love you." Ciel said.
