Reylo headcanons and oneshots

As you guys can tell, I cannot be bothered with stuff anymore. My teachers are determined to kill me through a computer. I have had massive writer's block recently, and I have been avoiding this book because I feel like no-one reads it, so.... Anyway, I saw a prompt on Pinterest and a whole story line popped into my head. 

It was a fairly peaceful day on the Resistance base. There had been no missions for several weeks now, as General Leia had announced that 'everyone's ass was on a holiday until she said so.' Why? Because she was General Leia freaking Organa, and what she says, goes.

So Rey and Ben had suddenly found themselves with plenty of time on their hands, which was the prefect opportunity to get away from the pilots and everyone who was constantly around them, asking questions like 'How many people do you think we need to rescue the villagers held captive by insert name on the planet of insert cool planet name?'

All in all, it was pretty tiring never having a moment to themselves. But over their holiday, Rey had gotten to spend more time with Poe, Finn, Leia and especially Ben. Even though they lived together, they felt like they hardly saw the other. Apart from having to start work early, they were both so exhausted when they finally did get to go to bed, they both just collapsed into the pile of blankets and were out as soon as their head hit the pillow. 

Sometimes Ben would have to be up all night writing down every little thing he remembered about Storm Trooper tactics, or where any of the old Order commanding officers might have gone into hiding. The Resistance was determined to flush the Order out of the galaxy forever, and were so far succeeding, but it was a long and tiring process. 

So the holiday was particularly welcomed by them, and Rey had so far spent the time reading Luke's old journals, getting to know Poe and Finn better, and relaxing with Ben. 

By complete chance, Rey had found a lake not too far from the base, but it was far enough that no-one else really knew about it or bothered them when they were hanging out there. Leia sometimes joined them for picnics, where they would just chat about anything and everything, from Ben's childhood to when Leia first met Han and Luke. She had the best stories to tell, and never minded sharing them with the right people. 

Other times, when Leia didn't join them, they would just lie down and listen to the water. All too often, Rey had fallen asleep and woken up to a multitude of flowers braided into her hair, and Ben smiling down at her with a goofy smile on his face. 

But on this particular day, Rey found herself taking a walk around the base with BB8 on her heels. Poe had asked her to watch his droid for the afternoon while he fixed some of the blasters, as he didn't want his precious robot anywhere near him as it was a dangerous task. BB8 kept up a near-constant chatter of beeps and boops, making Rey laugh as she watched BB8 roll around in circles. 

They were just about to head back to meet Finn and Poe in the main sector of the base when a conversation happening about 15 meters away caught her attention.

'But that Ben Solo. I mean, how do we know he isn't just feeding us false information? He could have the whole Order here in minutes, if he wanted to. He just hasn't yet because of the girl.' A voice said, his friends nodding their agreement.

'I bet he's using, like, the Force to make her believe she loves him. And his mom. I never thought I would see the day when General Leia would go soft. But here we are.'

Rey changed direction, heading towards the man. BB8 chirped in worry at her feet, but followed her nonetheless.

'Excuse me.' She began, fighting to control her temper. 'But what did you just say?'
