Chapter 19

After a cursory knocking, the door opened and Chae appeared.

"Good that you are here", Wendy said as the three of them entered the dorm. Irene immediately placed herself in front of the latter, ready to interrogate her about why the fuck they couldn't find her sister.

And this was exacly what she did. "Where have you all looked? Come on, you can't tell me she just disappeared like in a horror movie...."

Seulgi felt uncomfortable while Irene demanded an answer, she already knew that Wendy and Chae looked in everywhere. She sat down besides Jihyo who was present too, probably because she helped searching after the missing girl.

"I'm so sorry, but we tried everything. We even went to the destroyed northern part, but she isn't here..."

Everybody could see how the colour of Irene's face vanished within seconds. Seulgi felt so bad seeing her unnie in this state although she wasn't that close with Jisoo.

A unknown feeling spread in her body. She couldn't handle seeing Irene like this. She was so fricking ready to hug the girl, to wrap her arms around her petite waste, yeah, she would even turn the school upside down to make the girl happy again.

But she stayed muted. Why was she caring this hard for Irene? Why was she worrying so ha-?

"Probably she just went into this strange secret corridor and disappeared", the silent voice of Mina appeared. She was more talking to herself than to the others, but due to the silence, everbody could hear her.

"Which corridor?", Chae and Jihyo simultaneously asked and stared at her. But Mina didn't seem like she wanted to say more than she had to, and Irene... well, she was still shocked of Wendy's statement.

"We found a secret space near the glass cabinet with the goblets", Seulgi paused and faced Jihyo. "You don't know about the whole stuff with the cups, right?"

"Wendy and Chae told me everything", she stated so Seulgi nodded. "Fine."

"Somehow, Mina managed to open a column between the glass cabinet. We followed the trail under the school, but after approximately 300 meters, there was a dead end." Seulgi shrugged and looked at the others with a concerned expression.

She was sure that this trail and Jisoo had a connection, but she couldn't explain how. Her gaze met Irene's as she looked up.

"Have you already called Jisoo?", she inquired.

"Yeah, multiple times", Wendy replied.

"Maybe she put her phone into flight mode?", Seulgi continued.

"She...she never does this..." Irene whispered and faced her knees.

Seulgi silently sighed. This was really frustrating.

"Call her again, maybe she left her phone here", Chae suggested and gave Wendy her phone. While the permanently calling tone escaped Wendy's mobile phone, nobody talked. The tension was unbearable.

"Obviously it isn't here", Mina mumbled after two minutes of waiting. Seulgi agreed. Jisoo AND her phone weren't here...

"To be honest, why can't it be possible that Irene deceive us all the time. I'm so sorry Miss 'I cry because of my lost sister', but at the begin of the semester, you acted like a bitch to us. Maybe you and your little sister planned all this..."

Seulgi's blood froze as she heard this words coming from her friend Jihyo. She was done. No she couldn't hold herself back.

"Are you fucking serious?!", Seulgi yelled at her, both jumped of the bed. Her mood changed within a milli- no, picosecond. "How can you even think that she is pretending to feel bad?!"

"You have always been one of the most naive people in this world...", Jihyo answered and laughed.

"You think I am dumb?! That i am unable to see if somebody lies?! Huh? I know her better than you. How can you even think that she-!", Seulgi screamed back.

"Calm down Seul...", Wendy tried to reach the almost exploding girl. But Seulgi just ignored her. She was full of anger.

"Don't you see how hard this is for her? What would be if your sister disappeared without saying a word?! Would you laugh or what?!"

"Don't you see that all recent events are real coincid-"

"ANSWER MY FUCKING QUESTION!"

After this, Seulgi hear a silent sobbing behind her, caused by Irene.

She again opened her mouth, but was cutted off by Wendy's harsh voice. "You better stop both now or I'll kick you out here!"

They both stayed silent after this. Seulgi was still annoyed and angry, but she tried to control herself. She has never experienced that feeling before. She has never felt this kind of anger before. And she never flipped out like this.

Suddenly, Mina raised her voice.

"You said she never put her phone into flight mode. This have to be correct since we didn't hear the normal voicemail saying that she isn't available. So either she just ignores us or she has no internet connection."

They all remained silent. This was indeed very smart. She continued.

"Due to the facts that Seulgi had no internet in this column too, Jisoo somehow has a connection to this spot too AND she vanished from the face of the earth, I would suspect that she entered the column too but found another way and stayed there."

Everybody stared at her. Everything made sense now. This was the most plausible explanation.

"But why?", Chae's voice appeared. "Why would she walk into this strange column. Did she ever told you something about this?"

She looked at Irene. The latter replied with shaking her head.

"Then we have to find out!", Seulgi said. She had already regained her ambitious willpower.

"How?", everybody blurted out at the same time.

"I don't know, maybe we should secretly enter the principle's office. Apparently this school also knows more than we assume..."
