The days passed without anymore thefts. Of course, the police often came to look for something suspicious, but beside of that, the school was silent. Maybe too silent.

The prohibitions still made her life more difficult and the ban of doing sports made her crazy. She definitely needed soccer. And every day she had to spend in her dorm, she got more desperate and rebellious.

Now, Seulgi frequently met with Irene. It all started after the first hint of Mina, the note in the sanatic bible...

-two days ago-

The noisy sound of the water drops falling from the tap filled the room, preventing her of sleeping. She squinted her eyes and concentrated on something else, but it was impossible to escape the frequent noise.

Besides, she had to stay awake. Irene told her so. Today, they had found something suspicious in Mina's book, even though Seulgi wasn't really convinced of Irene's conspiracy theories. But she couldn't deny that she was curious.

So, she waited. For any movement, for any unnormal action her mysterious friend could do. They all knew that Mina often took a walk in the night, but this time, Seulgi could feel that it would be different.

And she was right. After approximately and hour of waiting, the blanket moved a bit, then, almost noiseless, a black figure stood up and crossed the room. Seulgi squinted her eyes. Hopefully Mina hadn't noticed her spying.

Something was odd. Extremely odd. Why would somebody communicate via books? Why would somebody write mysterious notes like that? Still, they were clueless. Seulgi suggested to tell Wendy and Chae of it, so they would maybe get more information, but her girlfriend immediately told her a clear no.

And Seulgi knew why. At first, it was extremely rude of them to suspect one of their friends. Secondly: Wendy and Chae didn't know more than they did. Mina was strange. And probably as innocent as a puppy.

But still: Something told Seulgi to keep an eye on her.

"Are you done?", Wendy asked and hopped in front of her.

"Yeah", Seulgi stated and packed the last folder into her bag. Finally, it was lunch break. And finally she was going to see Irene again.

"Your essay was amazing by the way. It was so detailed and precise", Wendy complimented her while forming a big circle with her hands to show her impression.

"Thanks I guess. That was the first time I really worked hard for history." She chuckled and turned around the corner.

"You should learn more often. History is great!"

"It's not. It's boring!"

"No, it's not!"

"Nevermind. I spend my lunch break in the library", Seulgi informed her friend and waved her goodbye.

"What are you doing there?", Wendy grabbed her wrist and tilted her head. "The exams are over."

Seulgi's face turned red as she thought about a possible excuse.

"Reserch for geography."

"You have high speed internet at this school, Seul. Everybody knows this."

"The feeling, Wendy, the feeling." She rolled her eyes and laughed. "I wanna use an old atlas with nice maps and cool-" Wendy interrupted her.

"Okay I got it. Have fun. I think I am going to play a online chess round with Jisoo."

With this, their paths seperated. Leaving Seulgi alone with an aching heart. The jealously found her again . And showed no mercy. But she simply got use to it and shrugged it off. There was no time for stupid problems.

"Which book again?", Irene asked as they walked along the shelf of the upper floor in the library.

"One hundred years of solitude. But we found the letter a week ago. Don't you think that they got a new book to exchange notes?" Seulgi scratched her neck and watched Irene how she desperately tried to read the book names.

"I definitely need some reading glasses", she mumbled.

"Have you actually listened to me?!", Seulgi chuckled and grabbed a random book out of the shelf.

"Always. An how should I know. Has Mina got new books?"

"No. Not that I know."

"So either the person on the other line has the book or it is here, with a new message." Irene winked at her. Wow, her girlfriend was smart...

"What genre is it? Romantic stuff?", Seulgi asked.

"Magic realism."

"What the hell is that?", Seulgi questioned with wide eyes.

"I don't know neither. I googled it." Irene laughed seeing Seulgi being so dumbfounded. Thanks for that...

After a long trip through different shelves (of course neither of them knew where they should look for the genre magic realism), they found it in the back of the library. It was a pretty unconspicuous cover, without bright colours. Besides, it wasn't very thick, completely to Seulgi's surprise.

"That's lame. I expected a fancy book now", Irene grumbled and crossed her arms.

"Babe, that's fancy shit! You have to see beyond it! The colours show you the deepness of the plot, the detailed building of a society, the-"

"Oh please, just shut up", Irene giggled and gave her a peek on the lips. Seulgi herself found it as stupid as Irene to interpret so much in some written words, but she couldn't really stop herself from teasing Irene.

They quickly opened the first page and found a small note in it. Ha! They hit the bull's eye! Irene quickly took it and read it out loud.

"You are right. We do it like we already discussed. And take the satanic bible with you."

"Wow, couldn't be more precise...?", Irene groaned and placed the book back to the others.

"At least we know that they are going to meet. Otherwise the last sentence would make no sense", Seulgi said.

"That's smart, tho."

"I am always smart", Seulgi flexed and grinned.

"Don't be so narcissistic, dumbass." Irene rolled her eyes and playfully hit Seulgi's arm. "Let's leave before Mina appears with her satanic bible."

"So we are going to follow her?", Seulgi asked before they stepped out of the corridor. Irene slightly nodded. "I stay up this eve. Text me when she left and follow her."

Seulgi saw the usual sparkling appearing in the girl's dark brown eyes. She was excited. And so Seulgi was.

Hopefully, everything was less meaningful as they assumed.
