Everything seemed to fit perfectly together now. Wendy and Jisoo haven't just stolen the jewelry for money, they had completely other motives. The mystery why only a few items and not all had been taken was also clear now. Seulgi herself didn't possess any expensive jewelry, the most was out of stainless metal. For Jihyo the same.Chae's brushes were out of silver, that's why Wendy and Jisoo had stolen them too. It made sense now.
"But the funny thing is that we haven't something to do with Lisa's necklace. She has probably really lost it somewhere", Jisoo clarified after we all took a minute to proceed what she had told them.
"And then the police found a hint about her and took her into custody?", Chae asked and wipped with her legs while sitting on the chair.
Jisoo nodded. "We agreed to continue this no matter if somebody gets arrested. We were eager to finish it. Now, I am really doubting if it was a good idea to just steal things from others for this complex. Maybe Arnold Priston was just joking with us..."
Her head dropped to the floor. Silence filled the room, until Irene got up and patted her sister's shoulder. Seulgi was impressed on how easy Irene could change her mood from angry to caring. A point she experienced at her own one week ago.
"Actually", a silent voice came out of the corner, "I do think it was right to finish it."
Seulgi turned her head to Mina who was still sitting next to Chae like a mannequin. She was fixing the recreated emblem on the table, inspecting all the little details Wendy and Jisoo were able to include. Then, her gaze shifted to Chae.
Seulgi narrowed her eyes. They still needed to know their story. "So what have you to do with all this?", Jihyo spoke out her thoughts. Mina widened her eyes for a millisecond, probably the sign for Chae to speak up.
"Our story... Where should I start?"
"Maybe at the beginning?", Jisoo rolled her eyes and raised one eyebrow. "How am I supposed to know where the 'beginning' is? When we first met?"
"Chae don't play the dumb one", Irene said in a strict tone. Chae chuckled. "Okay guys chill. We have a completely different story than Wensoo, but I think in the end we looked for the same..."
"Could you stop being to mysterious?", now even Seulgi pleaded. With a grin, Chae hopped off her seat and started to walk around the room.
"How it all started:"

I couldn't get rid of the thought that Ryujin and Tzuyu found another entrance. This school was like a big swiss cheese. Irene and Seulgi might have told me I should just keep it for myself, but do I look like I could be silent about a major thing like THAT?!
Jihyo wouldn't understand it either they. Wendy was also not the perfect one to tell. So all my thoughts just ended in one dead end. Mina.

[Chapter 38]
main corridor, 7pmThe question was: why? Why did this all happen. Why did this complex under the ground even existed. Mihno died because he lost the game. But Arnold Priston was either a psychopath or he had a reason for this building.
The mechanism in the column was connected with the walls of the school. So maybe was the 'why' also connected to Arnold Priston's history... I have to find it out.

"Other entrances...", she repeated and hold her chin.
"Yeah, other entrances...", I groaned, suddenly being annoyed by her constantly repeating.
"And you think that this plus the history of this school has something to do with the 'why'?", she questioned again.
"For god's sake yes Mina!", I grumbled and crossed my arms.
"Why you tellin' me?", she asked and raised one eyebrow. I felt the heat coming to my cheeks.
"There is no reason!", I mumbled, still standing in front of her with crossed arms. She scrutinized me.
"Indeed I wanna now what is wrong with the complex. Tomorrow in the library."
"What?", I blurted out.
"Investigations."
"Can't you speak in a whole sentence?", I asked. It was something I noticed in the last time. She often just used elipses. Not even I was too lazy too speak...
"No, I can't", were her last words before she disappeared.
"That's how it basically started.", Chae ended and folded her hands in front of her stomach. Mina nodded in agreement.
"So you wanted to find out why the complex exists, am I right?", Jisoo tried to understand.
"Yes", both said in unison.
"And what happened then? What have you found out?", she continued. Seulgi noticed that Jisoo was way to interested regarding that topic. But maybe she also kinda wanted to now the real function of this complex.
"We often met in the library for investigations. But there weren't many books about Arnold Priston or St. Priston in general...", Mina answered with her calm voice.
"Yeah, basically she looked for the books and told me where she put them and I had to find them."
[Chapter 39]
Library, 10am, break time'Where is it, where is it', I mumbled to myself, walking along the row of books. She said it had to be here. But where was 'here'? 'Here' could basically mean everywhere in the library. Couldn't she just give me the book instead of making me search for half an hour? The classes are about to start in ten minutes...
"She didn't really helped me...", Chae clarified. Mina glared at her but immediately softened her expression as the latter was staring back. Somehow they seemed to be very close. Or Seulgi was just to overtaxed and interpreted everything.
"We used every free time to look for hints, and after approximately a month, we gathered a lot of imformation, mostly out of old book stuff", Chae explained.
western tract; Chae's dorm; 5pm
"An you are sure we are alone?", Mina asked with a concerned subtone. I nodded.
"100%" Her expression relaxed.
"What do we know now?", she asked me. I leaned back at the wall and started to think.
"Here we have a lot of plans of the school. More detailed ones, more useless ones. In the book for history of St. Priston we got the information that Arnoldie earned a lot- and when I say a lot I mean A LOT- of money with competitions. We also found out that he somehow did studies about teaching which are rare documents now and maybe very expensive."
Mina immediately started to skim the pages of the book until she found it. "People say that he somewhere stores it in the school."
"So we know that there has to be a secret room or chamber or box or I don't know here in this school." Mina agreed.
"But what has the complex to do with this studies? Or with the money?", she asked and looked at me with her piercing eyes. Her gaze made me pretty nervous...
"That's what we are trying to figure out."
