She was lying on the bed, relishing the smell of the cushion under her head and the soft blanket. The owner of it sat right next to her, Irene's dark brown eyes full of worry. Her hands moved up to Seulgi's hair and caressed it.
"Are you okay now?", Irene asked softly.
Seulgi nodded. Right after her breakdown, the professors found out that it was an accidental activated alarm. Everybody calmed down, but the festival was over. Irene immediately brought her into the dorm and let her sleep, repeating that everything was fine.
She was still trembling a little bit, although she exactly knew that nothing had happened.
"Drink some water", Wendy said and approached the bed. She handed out the glass of water. Irene looked at her, like Seulgi. Her eyes were full off worry, too.
"If you wanna be alone... we can also leave...", Rosie suggested. Although Seulgi couldn't see her in this position, she knew that the girl was serious.
"Please, don't mind me. It's your dorm." She sat up straight und blinked twice. Irene wrapped her arms around her waist and snuggled closer to her.
"Just take some rest now, honey. I think your day was exhausting enough..."
Seulgi sighed and watched Wendy hopping onto Jihyo's bed while Rosie continued to draw something. Suddenly, a feeling of concern filled her body.
"What's with our monthsary?", she asked. Irene lifted up her index finger and covered Seulgi's mouth, a sign that she sould keep her mouth shut.
"Don't worry about that. We will make it up later." Her hand cupped Seulgi's cheek as she placed a soft but full kiss on her lips.
"Okay you guys should marry...", Jihyo laughed loudly and imitated the previous scene with Wendy who was lying with her head on the latter's lap. Seulgi rolled her eyes and leaned back in the bed. She would probably stay here overnight.

tomb behind the northern tract; 12:30am
"The entrance have to be here!", she said, almost too loud. It sounded desperate.
"Calm down. We aren't playing against time." I mentally rolled my eyes. Why couldn't she listen once?
"We should enter the northern tract."
"Are you sure?", I asked, not convinced at all.
"No, but maybe there is the key. Literally meant or not, I don't mind." She stroked through her hair and sighed. "The most parts are burned down anyways. What should surprise us?"
In the dorms; 11pm
A sudden fire alarm? An accident? Couldn't been more suspicious... Creating a chaos that was lasting for almost an hour. This wasn't just a simple accident. This had been on purpose.
Although I didn't know the person, I could aleady say one thing: Whoever this was, they looked for the same as we did.
I'm really curious about the cause of this alarm. Maybe we will all find out soon...

With entwined hands, Irene and Seulgi walked down the small path through the near forest. It had snowed last night, so the branches carried a lot of the heavy frozen water.
The air was cold, and the snow crunched under their feet, but Seulgi didn't mind that. She loved it. Snow was something rare in Scotland, especially in December. How nice that she could enjoy it now with Irene.
"Back in South Korea, it snowed much more...", Irene noticed and touched a frozen branch with her small fingers. "It gives me memories of my childhood." She fixed an invisible point in front of her and signed.
Seulgi tighened the grib on her hand. "Has something happened back then?"
Irene looked at her, this time with eyes in an even darker shade then before. "If you can call it like that...", she sighed and took a deep breath.
"I grew up in a very wealthy family. My whole life, I was taught to be formal to the people, to stop caring for their character and to focus on the status and capital. Jisoo always had more freedom than me. I am supposed to take over the business of my father. Not her. So to be clear: My childhood wasn't exactly that brilliant."
For a single moment, one could just hear their footsteps in the snow.
"So you felt lonely?", Seulgi asked.
"Not really. I grew up with this. And fortunately, I had Jisoo. I still visited school back then and had some friends, but it was so superficial... It was quite hard for me as I came to St. Priston. The people are honest with me. They care for me. I didn't know this feeling could come from other people that aren't called Jisoo."
She ended and shrugged. Seulgi could feel how much pain existed behind those words. She suddenly felt so sorry for her girlfriend. Three months ago, she had done exactly the wrong thing by rejecting the girl and trying to ignore her feelings.
Seulgi stopped and faced Irene. Then she pointed at a tree next to them.
"Do you see the crown of it?"
Irene nodded.
"The benches are splitting up in various directions. They seem to grow apart from each other. But at the second look, you can still see that they are all connected."
Seulgi smiled.
"We are all going our own ways and follow what we like. But we are still connected. Maybe back in your past you were a single plant in a monoculture, but now, your are a part of us, and if one bench is in danger of falling down, the others will still hold it."
She extended her arm and reached up the small stick of wood. Meanwhile, Irene hugged her from the front and placed her head on Seulgi's shoulder.
"How can I love a person that much? How is this possible?" She tighened her hug. Seulgi started to blush. Her hand caressed the other girls head.
"I don't know. But I feel the same everyday."
Irene looked up at her with red cheeks.
"Seulgi, I love you."
She smiled. She loved to hear that coming from her girl.
"I love you too." Seulgi was still stroking Irene's hair with the soft breath that touched her neck. She wrapped her arms around the small waist in front of her. For a moment, she just enjoyed being here, in the snow, alone with her girlfriend.
Sometimes, it still felt so surreal.
"Why do I always fall for you?", Irene playfully rolled her eyes and removed.
"Because I am charming?"
"Dumbass."
Irene suddenly grabbed a hand full of snow and formed a ball out of it. Seulgi started to scream as she threw it after her, both now running.
"YAH BAE JOOHYUN STOP!"
