The man intimidated her. The uniform, the strict blue shirt, the gun at his belt. She went through a lot in her life, but definitely hasn't ever experienced a visit of the police. In a row, they waited, observing every movement the officer did. Next to her was Yeri. On the other side Jennie, still trembling. She placed her hand on the latter's shoulder and caressed her.
The man started with the cupboard. With some quick movements, he checked the floor and backwall of it, then stroked through the clothes. A small sigh escaped Yeri's mouth. Her eyes were wide, wider than normal.
He continued with the maknae's corner. Seulgi grabbed Yeri's hand for support, although she was shaking too. The officer checked the bedside table, the small shelf above and under the bed. Nothing.
Yeri exhaled.
Now Mina's. Seulgi released her younger friend's hand and watched the muted girl, how she stared at the officer, showing nothing exept of her dark, piercing eyes. Nobody would ever be able to read the emotions out of her face.
But the police man found nothing apart from thousands of books in every colour. Now, his mouth escaped a short groan. Mina grinned.
Jennie's corner was also empty, but what should he find there? A lipstick that wasn't in the shade of pink or red?
Her heart made a jump as the tall pale man appoached her bed. She knew that she was innocent, nevertheless she was nervous as hell. How could a single man be so scary? Normally, she felt save around the police. Not today...
His hands disappeared in the drawer. She closed her eyes and tried to calm down, this time successfully. She was innocent. And she knew that. The long fingers left the beside table. He glanced at her. This time, a self-assured Seulgi stared back.
He continued with the bed, finding nothing except of the plastic ring and some weird pendant. The shelf was empty too.
"Thanks for your consent. I hope you all understand that this is a necessary measure to find the thief", the officer declared and left the room. They all nodded. "As long as you won't get any information, we ask you for staying in your dorm. Just for safety purposes."
They nodded again. Of course, Seulgi wanted to immediately ask Irene if she was fine, but now she had to wait.
"Do you guys think they will get the thief?", Yeri asked, leaning at the edge of her bed.
Jennie shrugged and walked to the window.
"They won't", the one and only Mina suddenly spoke out. She chuckled. "Nobody would be that dumb and hide the jewelry in the dorms? Maybe is was placed somewhere in the school."
"Are you thinking it's funny?", Jennie raised her voice and glared at the blond haired girl.
"Somehow."
Jennie opened her mouth, but closed it after a second. She knew that Mina was talking about things they couldn't understand. Discussing wouldn't help them.
"What are they going to do know?", Yeri asked with a worried face.
"Yeri, I am not a predictor! Can you please shut the fuck up now?!", Jennie hissed and narrowed her eyes. She usually used the tone just when she is really pissed.
"Sorry...", Yeri answered back and made a grimace. Seulgi just sighed.
It started to rain as it got later. The sound of thunder made its way to the boarding school, even though the storm was far away. Still, it gave her uncertain feelings.
She touched the transparent window with her palm. Everything looked so normal. But nothing was normal.
Suddenly, strange things happened. Things got lost. People went crazy because of the events.
Lisa's necklace. It was somehow related to all of this. The goblet. Wendy told her she was mistaken. But Seulgi knew that the goblet wasn't at its place as she passed the corridor with her soccer team. Her eyes would never lie.
And now the fire alarm. It was all connected. Like five months ago. As they found the complex under the school. Knowing nothing about it. Just wanting to find Jisoo.
And they still didn't know the 'why'.
But this time, it was a bit different. Somebody was stealing. Not trying to get more information. Why? No clue. But it probably hadn't something to do with the complex. But apperantly with something else...
"Attention.", a sudden voice out of the speakers startled her.
"We are instructed to inform you that every activity besides school is from now on indefinitely canceled. We point out that an enter of other dorms is highly forbidded. Thanks for your understanding."
"No... activities?", Seulgi stuttered, trying to comprehense the recent statement. She gulped. She couldn't live without soccer. It was her hobby, her passion, her everything.
"I guess so...", Jennie mentioned.
"No other dorms?", Yeri joined and started to whine. She couldn't meet up with her friends now. She couldn't cuddle with Irene in their bed from now on. She was imprisoned like the real thief. Now they all shared the same fate. Because of one fucking person!
dorms; 9pm
It started to rain. How I loved the rain. The composition of the water drops, looking like glass, falling while the backround is blurred. It was something to capture, something to keep in mind. I loved dancing in the rain. The freedom was undescribable.
How paradox. Now we turned into prisoners.
On the one hand, I didn't mind it since I was able to do stuff by my own. On the other side I wondered how we should continue our investigations.
We still didn't know much. There was an entrance to a complex, or a private room of Arnold Priston. How to enter or where it was located? You shouldn't ask me that...
What did it contain? No clue. We just found some plans in the library. We also tried to find more about the building under the school, without success. We were looking for a lost part of the puzzle.
I just hoped that she was smart enough to keep the contact with me. I didn't know how long the police will need to find out who was distracting us...
