"Okay where are we know Mina?", Seulgi said after the others disappeared.
"Between eastern and southern tract", she simply replied.
"Okay. The most important thing is now that we don't loose the orientation. Does somebody have Wendy's paper?" Seulgi asked and looked at the two.
And of course nobody was so smart and got this fricking piece of paper. But they somehow had to continue.
"Okay we all pay attention to the turnings we use, this school isn't the biggest. I just hope we won't get any problems..."
And so they took the left turning to the eastern tract and with this the boy's dorms. While they were silently walking, Seulgi felt how the air got moistier and moistier. She couldn't tell whether this was good or not. But a plausible explaination was a lake which was basically next to the building.
"How long have you already been students at this school?", Irene broke the silent and looked at Seulgi with big eyes.
Since Mina obviously wasn't in the mood to answer, Seulgi began.
"I think it have been three years already..."
                              "And Mina?"
"Five? She practically grew up in this school, right?" Mina just nodded and continued her way.
"Wow. I wished I would have discovered this school earlier. You know, I wasn't very motivated for moving to a boarding school at first", Irene explained.
"Nobody would have expected this...", Mina grumbled.
"Huh?" Irene breathed out. But Mina was already paying her attention to the column.
"Anyways, my sister was so obsessed to visit this school, so my parents signed me up too. Jisoo got in because of her intelligence, me just because of money."
Somehow, Seulgi could hear a sad subtone in Irene's voice. But she didn't want to probe her feeling by asking the latter. Instead she switched the topic.
"Does that mean your parents are... very rich?"
"Hm. Maybe for the normal standard. But for the high society not really. You don't have a clue how many koreans have much money and influence. To be honest I am glad that I came here. People are really toxic..."
Irene turned her attention on the endless trail in front of them. She seemed to have a hard time talking about this.
"But anyways, here is everybody nice and friendly. Although I acted like a bitch to y'all in the past I have a lot of friends now. Maybe not Jihyo, but I'll get her too", she winked and smiled. "How is your story Seulgi?"
Hearing her name suddenly made her nervous. She knew she had no reason for this because Mina was with them too, but it didn't disappear.
"Me? I- I think I just read about some science awards of St. Priston", she stuttered.
                              "And?", Irene pushed her.
"Tell her about the quali-jollies", Mina suggested.
                              "quali what?"
"As I got it the school, we still had to do qualification tests. They were hard as fuck, and you had to learn hard for it, but the teachers always said they are easygoing and funny, that's why they got the name quali-jollies." Seulgi shrugged. After her explanation, she returned silent.
Because of whatever, this whole situation started to make her feel awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe it was because Wendy and Chae wasn't there, maybe because of Irene's strange behavior, maybe a mix of both.
