A/N: I think you have to read very attentive to understand this chapterSeulgi took a seat next to Jihyo. There was still tension in the air, although Irene finally calmed down and seemed to be normal again. Mina and Chae also came a bit closer. Suddenly everybody wanted to know the real story behind Jisoo's (and Wendy's) mysterious behavior.
Irene let go of her grip on Jisoo's shoulders and removed from her backside to sit next to Seulgi. An awkward silence built up in the room, everybody was waiting for the girl to speak. Then Jisoo opened her mouth.
"Maybe you all still remember the corridors under the school. Jihyo wasn't there, but I guess you also told her everything", she started and gazed at the brunette girl.
"Mina was the first one who found me, approximately a hundred meters behind the eastern tract. Right after we got out, Seulgi, Jihyo and Irene interrogated me. I told you everything I knew back then, I promise. I didn't know more than you did back them. Or Wendy did. Or anybody else at this school."
"And why should we trust you?", Jihyo asked with one raised eyebrow.
"I can't do more than telling you my story. Believe it or not." Jisoo shrugged and looked at all of them.
"Continue", Irene instructed.
"So like I said, I haven't known more than you did. At least until Ryujin suddenly showed up."
Seulgi frowned as she heard the familiar name. What in hell had the innocent and poor girl to do with that?
"She came to me right before Tzuyu and her left the school. Maybe it was even the same day. Tzuyu was still a bit confused, but they wanted to tell me something. At first, I wasn't really taking it serious since I was convinced this story had ended, but then Ryujin started to tell her experience."
Jisoo paused.
"There was something odd about it. It wasn't fitting into the pattern. You described every little detail of your journey underground, and so did they, but it was different. I was confused, and maybe overtaxed, so I called Wendy. I just thought she would understand it better than me."
"So there was no other intention of choosing exactly Wendy?", Seulgi asked.
"No. Definitely not. You would have maybe asked her too. She is the best in connecting things. But that's not the point."
She looked up and stared at them.
"You all know that it was an accident that Minho, Tzuyu and Ryujin entered the column. It was the same day as I entered it first. Ryujin also told me the story she had told y'all. Except of the thing that a big stone tablet appeared in front of them as they tried to open the first 'door' ", she made some quotation marks with her hands.
"It was extremely odd, and maybe also a bit intimidating. But the tablet just showed one sentence: 'You started the mechanism. So you have to end it." Jisoo took a deep breath as she finished that sentence. Seulgi narrowed her eyes and placed her hand on her chin, thinking about the meaning.
"And what should that mean? Are we playing a game here?", Chae asked with curiosity and tilted her head.
"That was the first thing Wendy and I considered. As long until Ryujin continued. She talked about a door, a real one I mean. It was located in the room full of ash, I hope you know about what I am talking..." She earned a nod of everyone.
"There was the same sentence written on it. To be honest, I haven't really seen it too as I passed the hall, but that's probably because some wooden beams hide it pretty well. At first, Wendy and I were a bit disbelieving since it sounded way too strange and almsot hilarious. But on the other hand, I was intimidated of what Ryujin told us. This 'column' had killed a human. It almost costed the lives of two others. Nobody should underestimate it.
