She couldn't sleep well that night. Her dreams where full of scary hallways, lost abandoned rooms and other creepy stuff she woudn't mind to just erase out of her life. She was so glad that Irene didn't get hurt, otherwise, she would have never forgiven herself. She had also texted the girl the last eve to make sure she safely got back to her dorm. Seulgi was sure that she wouldn't repeat that little adventure in the next time...
The morning started with the noisy, annoying alarm of her phone. Like always, she got up with Mina first while Yeri and Jennie stayed longer under the warm blanket. But this time, she felt a nervous feeling coming up her throat. She knew what her dorm-member had done last night. She knew that Mina's emotionless face told her a lie. Seulgi approached the cupboard first. Hopefully, she could avoid any contact with the girl.
But avoiding somebody while being in the same room appeared to be harder than she thought. After just a minute of rummaging through her clothes, Mina showed up next to her. Seulgi sighed silently.
"Good morning", she muttered, shortly glancing at her. Immediately, her eyes glued to something red at Mina's forhead.
"What is-"
"Not your business", Mina hissed and disappeared again. Seulgi still didn't move, being completely puzzled. Although she had seen her friend just for a few seconds, the big, conspicuous wound at her forhead stayed in her mind. And Seulgi was sure that Mina hadn't gone to bed with it yesterday eve.
"Have you see that new poster? It's awesome!", Wendy declared as she sat down next to her in the cafeteria. "The new year's poster?", Seulgi questioned, not being sure WHICH one of all the thousand school posters she meant."Of course. Jimin edited it pretty well. I guess we will have a big demand for new study places next summer." Wendy's eyes sparkled while she took a bite of her sandwich. She was currently really into students' council duties.
"That would be great since we lost Ryujin and Tzuyu last semester. St. Priston definitely needs more students", Seulgi commented.
"Yeah. Imagine we would get supported by the government... Our school would be so elite. I can already see the rows of students who wanna sign in." Wendy clapsed her hands and smiled from ear to ear. Seulgi just chuckled.
"I don't think that will happen, Wanda", Jihyo appeared behind her friend and placed her tablet with milk and cereal on the table. "Who wants to be at this school with a thief around them? I wouldn't want to lose all my jewelry which 'sugar daddy' bought me."
Wendy immediately turned around and playfully hit Jihyo's arm. The brunette-haired just laughed and continued with her daddy-jokes. After some minutes, Jihyo again stood up to take some more food. This girl was eating like a grown-up man! No offense, though.
For some seconds, the two said nothing. Awkward silence lingered between them.
"Is everything okay with you?", Wendy suddenly spoke out and looked at her, her light-brown eyes started to soften.
"Hm", Seulgi just hummed. She was again thinking about Mina, and how everybody could lie to her without showing it.
"Seul...", Wendy said and put her sandwich back on the plate. "You know you can tell me everything." She took her hands.
Seulgi exhaled and smiled a bit. A warming feeling spread in her body. It was wonderful too feel her company again, especially when she needed it.
"You can trust me, Seul", her grip tighened. It felt like four months ago in Glencoe.
"I just- I just want that this all stops. This nasty rules for safety, I mean." Seulgi huffed in exasperation.
"Me too. We all feel like it. I wanna go to Glencoe again, and to go ice skating like last winter. I miss the old times." Wendy sighed and watched Jihyo who returned to their table. At least Seulgi knew that she wasn't the only one who felt like this. It eased the loneliness a bit.
They finished breakfast and headed toward their first classes. She waved the two goodbye and walked to the biology tract. Yeah, she was pretty excited to learn something about enzyme-substrate complex and enzyme-catalysed reaction...
"Are you sure that you don't want some bubble-gum?", Chae asked her for the nth time that lesson. She sighed deeply and looked at her friend. "No. We aren't allowed to eat them." Chae raised an eyebrow and put a white stick into her mouth.
"Do I look like I care?", she laughed.
"No, obviously not." Seulgi rolled her eyes. The lesson has just begun and the teacher was talking about unnecessary stuff, so there was no reason to pay attention.
"So sympathizer, what's up? Some spicy and hot knews about your relationship?" Chae raised her eyebrow again, this time followed by a smirk.
"What should happen?"
"Secret dates, breathless make out sessions, I don't know?"
"Why should I tell you?" Seulgi frowned. Chae was weird when she was bored.
No. She was always weird.
"Because I am you gay-therapist and the lesbian icon at this school. Haven't noticed that before? So if you need some tips, just call me." She winked. Seulgi frowned. Chae would be the last who she would ask for love advices.
"Why are you writing so strange?", Seulgi asked as she finished the tasks from the board. Chae was still copying the type of problem, but it somehow looked like she got no bones in her wrist."Oh, that-", Chae paused and eyed her covered arm. "I drew Joy last night with my new set of brushes. But apparently this girl is unable to sit still for some minutes. So all in all I needed over four hours and know my wrist is aching."
Seulgi mentally facepalmed and chuckled.
"Really. Never ask Joy to portait her. That was a disaster..." Chae placed her pen back on the table and exhaled. "I guess that's enough."
"You just copied the task of the board."
"Yeah, that's way enough..."
The rest of the lesson, Seulgi thought about everything that wasn't related to biology. She thought about the coming winter holiday, and that she was going to spend it with Irene at home.
She was kinda excited, but also a bit nervous. Her brother was surely making jokes about her and wouldn't miss a single chance to share embarrassing stories about her childhood.
To make it fair, Seulgi and Irene agreed with each other that she would spend the other week at Irene's home. Of course, she was curious about their house and all the other things related to Irene's private life. Sadly, Jisoo was around them too...
Somehow, Seulgi wasn't the biggest fan of Irene's sister. Jisoo was nice, and surely talkative, but something was bothering her. Maybe it was related to Wendy's close relationship with her, maybe also Seulgi's mistrust in the past.
But she would neither tell Irene nor Wendy of that, and deep in her mind, she exactly knew that it was a bit unfair. But what should she do. Suddenly liking the girl? Definitely not.
She didn't want to be the fake one...
God, reading this shit again makes me feel nostalgic. By the way, does anybody of you have a clue who could be the person hanging out with Mina? I mean the paragraphs that are written italic and in first person POV. It's obviously not our dear Seulgi ^^Stay healthy and love you guys <3
