"Are you a genius?", Chae blurted out with wide eyes."Maybe", Mina just replied and shrugged with her shoulders.
They all walked though the now open gap with revealed another long corridor with milky yellow walls and moisty air.
They built a row since the column got thinner after the so called 'dead end'. Mina and Wendy at the front of them.
"So, how did you found out?", Wendy interrogated the girl.
"Above this spot is exacly the emblem I recreated here. It's painted on a picture frame next to the entrance door."
"You really have a fotographic memory, haven't you?"
"Just attentive. Walking in the night can be helpful." There was no arrogant subtone in Mina's voice. She just said the truth. She was really impressing...
While they were walking, they remained silent. Although Seulgi was scared and intimidated like she had never been before, she tried to distract herself. She fixed the back of Irene who was walking in front of her.
Her backside was really pretty. In general everything of her was pretty. Her nose, her eyes, her lips. Seulgi was convinced she had never met someone like this before.
Of course Jisoo was pretty as well. But there was something missing. Irene was ALWAYS arousing her attention. But why? Why should a girl give her so unfamiliar but nice feelings?
Her thoughts dropped to her past. The first time she entered this school. Oh boy, how shy she was. A naive, shy and clumsy girl who was smart, of course, but didn't show it. Not even in class.
Now she was an open-minded, grown up and indepented girl. Sometimes she even miss her childish side. Like Chae was. This girl would even break into the school kitchen to get some of her favourite candy.
Maybe it was good that she was here now. Overcoming her fears would probably change her responsible trait a bit. Even if it is just a little.
"Can you see an end?", Irene suddenly broke the silence with her soft and calm voice. "Yep. There is a turning in approximately hundred meter."
Immediately, Seulgi continued thinking about her whole life. Why couldn't it all be easier? Why did Jisoo had to be obsessed with this goblets? Why had Irene to drive her crazy? Why couldn't she just fell in love with Jungkook? She would avoid one of her problems with this....
Without even realizing that the others reached the turning and stopped, she bumbed into Irene. "Oh sorry", she mumbled with her face in embarrassment. Irene just smiled with her eyes. "Go first."
She reached out her arms and signalized Seulgi to go.
After some more minutes, they stopped another time in front of an emblem.
"Seems to be another type of emblems like before", Chae stated and pushed Mina in front of them.
"Your job."
Wendy got her piece of paper out and showed it to Mina. "We should be exacly under the last part of the girls dorms."
After thinking some seconds, the blond haired stretched out her hands and took the items again to order them.
"Wait!", Seulgi almost screamed. "What if there are dangerous things behind the walls?"
"Kang Seulgi, don't be such a wimp, we won't find monsters or vampires behind it", Chae chuckled and grinned.
"And I'll protect you if we meet some", she continued.
"Son Chaeyoung you're too small to do that. I already took that job" Now Irene was the one who grinned.
"I am not small!"
Their discussion got interrupted by the mechanic sound of the splitting walls.
"See, no monsters..."
The entrance gave them the access to a round room, totally different from what they have seen before. The walls got devided by five doors, one on the opposite side, two at each side and the other two almost behind them.
"This is like a maze... I hate memory games...", Chae whined.
They all spread out, everybody inspecting a door, looking for suspicious things. But of course they all looked the same. Dark wooden without any wholes for keys.
"Can somebody tell me why we have THIS under our school? I don't think that the old principal wanted to make classrooms out of this", Wendy stated as they gathered in the middle.
"Better than our rooms now", Mina mumbled.
"Okay let's just take one of them. Maybe this", Wendy suggested and pointed at the middle door.
"Lame. Don't be so mainstream...", Chae countered and crossed her arms.
"This was no option!", the older clarified with a strict tone and walked to the mentioned door. Seulgi stayed where she was. Nope, if Wendy wanted to be the first to open this door, she can surely do this. Seulgi wasn't eager to be the first to get eaten by a monster.
Like Irene read her mind, she stayed with her. Again she intwinned her hand with hers. She whispers something in her ear. "This was no joke... I am the one who protects you!"
But Seulgi couldn't reply. With a harsh and ear-wreaking sound, her best friend opened the heavy door. Without a monster behind it. But nobody could miss her gasp after she saw what was instead behind it...
