"How are you feeling babe?" - Jesy asks Perrie as she walks out of Alex's room.

"I don't know.. I'm sad.." - she sighs.

"Do you wanna eat something?"

"No.. I'm not hungry.." - Perrie says. "And I'm not gonna eat until Alex wakes up.."

"I'm not gonna push you, but I'll tell you that you'll need energy.. Jade said he may not wake up for a few days and you can't starve yourself"

"Okay.. I'll eat later"

"Was his mum mean to you?" - Jesy asks.

"Yeah.. I mean, I don't blame her.." - Perrie mumbles. "I can't even imagine the pain she's going through.."

"You're going through the same pain.. and just because she's his mum, it doesn't make yours less valid"

Perrie gives her best friend a slight smile. These are the words she really needed to hear. Finally someone who understands her, and doesn't try to make her feel better, because to be honest, she doesn't really want to feel better. She's miserable right now, and probably will be for a while. Therefore she's allowed to feel all of that. She knows that the others don't want her to feel this way, but they kind of don't allow her to. Everyone has their heartbreaking moments and it's okay to feel like this sometimes.

Hours pass, with Perrie occasionally walking back and forth in front of Alex's room, sometimes just standing at the small window and looking at him. She kept waiting for him to open his eyes, even though she knew that it won't happen so soon. Nurses kept coming in and out, they measured his blood pressure, his heart rate, checked his breathing and reflexes. She asked them if there's something wrong, but they didn't say anything specific, only that they're just keeping an eye on him as he's in a critical state.

"You're here again?" - Wendy's voice makes Perrie jump slightly.

"Mum.. you said you'd stay calm"

"Save it Christian, you didn't tell me she'd be here"

"Have some compassion, Mrs. Oxlade" - Perrie says and smiles slightly. "You think I'm not hurt?"

"Listen Perrie, I don't care. This is your fault, you put my son's life in danger and that almost killed him"

"That's enough!" - Jesy stands up from her seat and stands in front of Perrie. "Can't you see that she's completely broken? She loves your son as much as you do. You have no right to attack her for this. Instead of that, you should try to find Mark. This is his fault, not Perrie's"

"How do you know it's him..?"

"He left a note in Alex's car.. Saying how he'll never let me have him.." - Perrie explains. "But he's left the country right after we left the court together.."

"So he did it because of you? I hate you both so much" - she starts crying and walks away towards the exit, with Christian after her.

"I do nothing and still manage to hurt people.."

"It's not your fault.." - Jesy rubs her shoulder. "Stop acting like it is.."

A nurse rushes out of the room as the other one pulls the curtain in front of the window, getting everyone's attention. A few seconds later a few doctors, along with Jade enter Alex's room. Perrie and Wendy quickly stand up and try to see what happened inside, but the curtain is blocking their view. Everyone just rushed in, which can't be something good.

Everyone outside starts panicking, especially Wendy.

"This isn't happening.. Tell me it's not gonna happen.." - she tells Christian before breaking down in his arms. He can't hide the fact that he's crying too, so instead of comforting her, he cries with her.
