"Who were you talking to Lucas?" - Jesy asks him as she walks in the kitchen.

She noticed him texting someone, and he's never on his phone while they're cuddling. He seemed nervous, as if he was worried about something. She could tell that it had something to do with Perrie. Could he be texting her? If it was indeed her, he probably noticed that she saw his messages. That's why he stood up with the excuse that he wants water, because his phone started ringing the moment he left the room.

"It was just someone I work for" - he says casually.

She's getting suspicious, he knows that, he can tell. She's asking him direct questions, like where was he all day, what was he doing, who was he with. And he gives her the same answer every time. He doesn't mention Perrie at all. Did she hear him talking to her now?

"Mm.. really?" - she gives him a look.

"Yeah, let's go back" - Lucas says and puts his arm around her neck and kisses the top of her head.

"You forgot to drink water.." - she says quietly. "Wasn't that what you got up for?"

"Oh yeah" - he chuckles. "Thanks for reminding me"

He picks up a glass of water from the island, fills it up with water and drinks it, even though he's not thirsty. Why does Jesy keep looking at him like that? Is she angry? Sad? He doesn't know, and if he asks, she won't tell him.

"What's up with the Mia situation? Perrie is waiting for a plan from you, remember?" - she says.

"I'm working on it. I just have something else to focus on right now. Plus I'm sure that she'll come up with something sooner or later"

"Mhm.." - she sighs. "You go ahead, I'll make myself something to eat"

He gives her a soft kiss on the cheek before making his way back in the living room. Why is he so affectionate now? He's usually the horny kind of a guy. Like, he'd often do something more sexual than random hugging and kissing. He's just acting weirdly, even though he's trying not to show it.

She takes out a plate and as she starts walking to the fridge, his phone buzzes. He must have forgotten it. She thinks for a moment before taking it. She doesn't know if she should go through his phone and read his texts. She's never been that kind of a person, and she never wanted to be a nosy girlfriend, but if he's not cheating on her, she has nothing to worry about, right? She'll just make sure.

She unlocks his phone and peeks at the notification. It's indeed a text from Perrie. He didn't tell her that he's talking to her. She taps on it and it opens their chat.

New message: Done
New message: She doesn't have a clue ;)
New message: You keep your mouth shut, just a reminder
New message: See you tomorrow morning

Jesy's heart sinks as she reads the texts. How could she do this to her? She could expect this from anyone, but not her best friend, her sister. They promised each other that they'd never keep secrets, that they'd always be honest with each other, and most importantly, they'd never turn their back on each other. But why did she do this?

Wasn't she happy with Alex? She killed his dad for him, she went through hell and back for him, and she still betrayed him. She betrayed them both. How did she get bored so easily? She literally stole her boyfriend.

"Baby can you bring me something too?" - Lucas shouts from the other room.

"Uh.. yeah" - she mumbles, quickly wiping away a tear. She marks the texts as unread and shuts off his phone.
