"Are you sure you can do this?" - Mia asks Alex.

"Yeah.." - he mumbles.

Alex couldn't even keep his eyes closed last night, let alone fall asleep. The image of his dad's dead body was in front of his eyes the whole time, he couldn't stop thinking about it. It made him so uncomfortable. He lost his parent. He wasn't very close to Mark, and as he can remember, he was mad at him, he avoided talking to him. Whenever he thought of him, he was reminded how broken his mum was and how he couldn't forgive him for that. He knew that he wasn't a really good man, but he misses him now. He's his father after all. He wishes he spent more time with him or even made up with him.

The other thing that couldn't leave his mind the whole night was Perrie. Who knows how traumatic this was for her? She literally watched her ex husband die in front of her. He thinks that she probably tried her best to save him, but everything happened so quickly and she probably panicked. If he only knew that she was watching him die with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes. If he only knew that he's sad for the person who once paid a woman to stab him, the person who wanted to drug him, the person who wanted him to be heartbroken, the person who wanted him dead.

And when she called him last night.. He didn't want to admit it but he was thinking about her. Mia wasn't in the room with him at that moment, and he was glad for it. He didn't want to explain anything to her then, and he didn't want her to get annoyed. A small part of him didn't wanna hang up on her so quickly, and he doesn't even know why. She sounded so broken, he knows that it's because of him, it's because of him every time. He can't listen to her speaking when she's on the verge of tears. It makes him feel guilty, it makes him want to give everything up and just go to her and hug her and give her the reassurance she needed when he broke her heart. But then he reminds himself that he has a girlfriend and can't talk to his ex, he can't be friends with his ex. Maybe it could be possible, if she wasn't in love with him.

Right now, he's at the police station, and is preparing to give a report from last night. They need to make it clear what was the reason for Mark's death. He can't say much, because he wasn't there when it happened. The only person who can give the most information is Perrie, so she's probably going to be there too. He reminds himself to avoid her as much as possible.

"So, Mr Oxlade-Chamberlain, do you want water before we start?" - the officer asks him.

"No, thanks" - he says.

"Can you tell me what happened last night?"

"My dad had organised a party for me.. Because I recently woke up from a coma.. and he wanted to celebrate that.. So we gathered together. We had a couple of drinks together, and then he went outside, with my ex-girlfriend.. who's also his ex-wife.."

"Can you explain the last part a bit more?" - the officer gives him a look.

"So.. this is what everyone told me.. I've lost my recent memory so I don't know if it's entirely true.. Perrie Edwards was married to my dad.. And apparently they got divorced and I dated her after that.. That's all I know.."

"Why was she there?"

"She stayed friends with my dad.. And I broke up with her last night before my dad's death.." - Alex says.

"So she was alone with Mark when he died?" - the officer asks.

"I think so. They were outside and then Perrie ran inside panicking, she said that my dad had fainted.. We all went to him and called the ambulance.. but they couldn't do anything.."

"The reports we've received from the hospital said that he died because of an anaphylactic reaction, apparently caused by peanuts. It probably blocked his airways and lowered his blood pressure, his face and neck were swollen" - the officer reads from the paper in front of him.
