"Are you alright babe?" - Jesy asks her best friend as she walks out of the office.

"No" - Perrie sighs. "He talks to me as if he's trying to get me to admit a crime'

"You should have let me go and have a little chat with him"

"Just let it go Jes" - she smiles slightly. "We don't need more trouble"

Perrie chuckles as she imagines Jesy cursing the officer out, sending him death stares and even smacking him across the face. She never had the balls to do that, but Jesy is the bravest woman she knows. She always jokes about Jesy being single because she's very intimidating, which is partly true. Guys were even scared to ask Perrie out because of her best friend. But it's not a bad thing. She's a woman and she's exposed to danger all the time. At least she can defend herself in those situations.

"We need to come up with a plan" - Jesy says as they step outside the building.

"Plan about what Jes?"

"About Mark. We need to find him, and we need to find out his connection with all of this"

"What can we do?" - Perrie questions.

"I'll call Lucas"

Of course. Jesy's secret friend who can dig into everyone's past and help her find people's darkest secrets. He helped Perrie once with the babysitter pshycho, and she's forever thankful for that. Hopefully he'll be able to track Mark down. He'll be found wherever he's hiding.

"Is he hot?" - Perrie randomly asks.

"Mm yeah" - Jesy smiles. "Why?"

"Just curious" - she answers. "He's single, right?"

"Yes, and if you say what I think you're gonna say, I'll smack you"

"I'm not gonna say anything, you got it" - Perrie chuckles slightly. "But seriously Jes, you can't keep going after me and solve all my problems. You need to start paying more attention to yourself"

"Myself or Lucas?" - Jesy raises her eyebrow. "I'm perfectly happy the way things are now.. except for everything that's going wrong.. but you know what I mean"

"Alright.. if you say so" - Perrie shrugs.

She could tell that Jesy was trying to hide a smile. Jesy isn't someone who'll openly talk about her feeling like Perrie does. It'll take her a while to admit her crush on whoever the guy is.

She drops Jesy off at her house and continues to drive home. Everything is so exhausting. She can't go to the hospital now, she needs to be away from Wendy, she needs to be away from all those arguments with her. She'll visit him whenever Christian informs her that she's going home, thanks to him. There's a long way to go. Nobody knows when Alex is going to wake up. It could be in a week, in a month, maybe a year. And her hands are tied. The fact that all she can do is wait and hope for the best is driving her insane.

She closes the front door as she walks in and kicks off her shoes.

"Perrie? Is that you?" - Debbie shouts from the kitchen.

"It's me, mum" - Perrie says as she follows the sound of her mum's voice.

"How are you feeling?" - she asks. "Any news?"

Perrie takes a deep breath and rubs her temples. It's something that's so hard to process. Her eyes fill up with tears when she remembers the way he looked so.. dead and helpless..

"He's in a coma.." - she says quietly. "Due to blood loss.."

"Oh my God.." - she puts her hand over her mouth and rushes over to Perrie to give her a hug. "Please remember.. whatever happens.. you need to stay strong.. This is a long process and you need to be patient.. for both of you.."
