"It's so fucked up" - Perrie says.

"Give him some time babe" - Jesy says as she takes her best friend's hand. "It's been a whole year, and yes, it wasn't expected to be the same, maybe it'll never be.. But I'm sure that he'll remember you and fall in love with you again"

"What if he doesn't? What if he decides not to be with me again because of everything that happened?"

"Then you'll have to respect his decision and move on.. I really don't want you to be sad, but I'd rather you not destroy yourself for him"

"I won't be able to handle it.. Seeing him with someone else will break me into even smaller pieces.." - she says quietly, reminding herself of the time she broke his heart only to save him from Mark. "Maybe it's just karma, you know?"

Perrie stops and chuckles ironically for a few seconds, which confuses Jesy and makes her look at the blondie who almost started laughing. The both of them decided to have some wine to relax, but Perrie is currently on her third glass and the alcohol is starting to take over.

"Maybe I'm just getting what I deserve.. I'll never forgive myself for dumping him so heartlessly.. I mean, it was because of Mark, but I'm still the one who did it.. I pretended to be pregnant for a while in front of him.." - she laughs.

"Babe it's fine.. You didn't mean to.." - Jesy says softly.

"What I meant doesn't matter now, I did what I did.. Maybe he never truly forgave me for it.."

"He did Pez, he just doesn't know it.."

"I'll understand if he never loves me again.. After all, I love him more than anything in the world and I want him to be happy. If happiness means that he's with someone else, then I'm okay with it.." - she tears up. "I've been miserable my whole life anyway.."

Jesy embraces Perrie in a hug and pulls her on her lap. Perrie rests her head on Jesy's shoulder and returns the gesture. Jesy knows that she doesn't need to say anything to make Perrie feel better, she just needs to be there for her. That's what she always needed, actions, small gestures instead of words. Words don't mean anything anyway, they can just fade away as if they never came out of someone's mouth. They can hurt, but not heal you.

"Do you wanna stay over tonight?" - she asks Perrie. "You drank a little too much to drive home"

"Yeah sure.. If Lucas doesn't mind"

"He'd never have anything against you babe, of course he wouldn't mind" - Jesy says. "And he's working tonight anyway"

"Alright then, but can we stay like this for a while?"

"Of course, but no more crying for tonight, let's watch a film"

Perrie opens her eyes and slowly sits up as she realises that she's in Jesy's living room. She had fallen asleep while she was watching a film with Jesy the previous night. She was so exhausted she didn't even notice. However, she did get a good sleep.

"Good morning" - she mumbles when Jesy walks in.

"Oh, you're awake" - Jesy smiles. "I was just about to call you"

"Why..?"

"Well, come eat with Lucas and I, he'll tell you"

A couple of minutes later, after she's washed her face and woken up properly, Perrie joins the couple in the kitchen, who has already started eating. She notices Jesy and her boyfriend exchanging a look before either of them says something.
