"Should I pick you up tomorrow morning?" - Alex asks Perrie as he pulls up in front of her parents' house.
"Whatever" - she mumbles as she gets out of the car.
"I'll be here at 6, please be ready by then" - he says and she almost rolls her eyes in his face, but decides not to. She knows he has a training to attend to, and the drive isn't really short.
"Bye Alex" - she says before closing the door.
"Good night baby, I love y-" - Alex cuts himself off before he even finishes.
Perrie's already at the door now. He waits for her to get in before he drives off, he wants to make sure that she's safe. Debbie opens the door and Perrie immediately pulls her in a hug, she probably started crying again. Alex is so angry at himself, he really couldn't control himself and got to the point to call her a bitch. He promised to never make her cry again, yet she refused to stay with him tonight because he couldn't control his mouth.
When Perrie finally gave in and went back in the car, she told him to take her to her parents' house. They originally planned to stay over with Wendy, even though Perrie wasn't really keen on the idea. But after their small argument, she was sure she didn't want to stay with Alex, especially if Wendy is in the same house with them. The woman has no awareness of personal space, her being her nosy self, she'll quickly realise that they've been arguing, and will probably start a second, even bigger argument with Perrie.
"Alex honey" - Wendy smiles as she embraces her son. "I missed you so much"
"Hi mum" - Alex says, hugging her back. "I missed you too"
"Where's, um.. your girlfriend?" - she asks.
"She wanted to stay with her parents"
"Oh, good. I thought she'd come here with you"
"Well no" - he forces a smile.
He knows that he has to pretend as if nothing happened between them. If Wendy suspects that they've been arguing, she'll keep bugging him. She'll keep telling him to leave her, that she doesn't deserve him and all kinds of things he's tired of hearing.
After the two of them have dinner with a light conversation, Wendy brings up Mia. That was something Alex was not looking forward to talking about. It just reminds him of what he said to Perrie, it reminds him of the way he hurt her. Even though the only reason she was mad at him was that he took a bit longer to say goodbye, she shouldn't have started an argument and he shouldn't have said that.
He quickly informs his mum about Mia's condition and not long after that makes his way to his old bedroom. He starts thinking about how to win Perrie's heart again, he needs to soften her more so she'll forgive him. He should have known how emotional she is. Hopefully her anger and jealousy will die down until tomorrow morning so he can try to talk to her without her getting mad.
He's willing to do whatever it takes. If she wants him to see Mia less often, he'll do it. He needs to understand that seeing his ex-girlfriend is unacceptable, even if she's just survived a fatal accident. He loves Perrie and doesn't want to lose her, no matter what.
~
"Good morning Debbie.." - Alex says with a slight smile. By the look on her face, he can tell that Perrie told her what happened.
"Good morning, I suppose the flowers aren't for me" - she looks at the bouquet of red roses he's holding.
"They're for Perrie.. I'm really sorry for what I said, it was just a matter of second, my mouth was quicker than my brain and it happened.. I'd never hurt her on purpose.."
