"It's my fault.." - Perrie sobs in her mother's chest.

"Noo, it's not.." - she rubs her hand up and down to comfort her. "You didn't want it to happen.."

"But she said it.."

"She didn't mean it.. She's just hurt.. She took her anger out on the first person she saw.."

"W-what if something happens to him..?" - she keeps crying even harder. "I'll never forgive myself.."

"Listen darling," - Debbie says as she wipes her daughter's tears away. "He's a strong person, he'll be okay.."

"He.. he was dying in my arms.. I-I saw him closing his eyes.."

"Sshh, no.." - she kisses her head. "He didn't die.. He'll recover.."

"But- but what if he doesn't..?"

"He will, trust me.."

A few minutes later, Perrie eventually calms down and stops crying. But that doesn't mean that her mood is any better. She's just not sobbing anymore. Her eyes are still wet, they're full with tears, ready to start falling any moment. She still has her head on Debbie's chest, who's now playing with her hair, knowing that it will relax her, while Alexander has gone off to get some water for Perrie.

"Perrie.." - she turns her head in the direction of the voice, and sees Christian walking up to her.

"Christian," - she jumps up on her feet. "Did something happen to Alex? Is the operation done?"

"I don't know.." - he says quietly. "The operation isn't over yet. I came to see if you're alright"

"Yeah, I'm fine.." - she wipes her tears away with her hands quickly.

"I'm sorry about my mum.. It's been quite a day for her.. She's lost her control.."

"It's fine.." - Perrie mumbles, trying not to start crying again as she remembers Wendy's words.

"You need to go home.. Get some sleep.. You've been up all night.."

"I agree.. You should really get some rest. We'll come again once you've slept" - Debbie says.

"I'll call you as soon as they finish, but for now, please remember that it's gonna be okay. I keep telling my mum the same. I know my brother, he won't give up just like that.." - he says as he pulls her in a hug.

"Thank you for not hating me.." - she says.

"I can't hate you for something you're not responsible for" - he smiles slightly. "I hate the excuse of my father.."

Perrie remembers what the police officer told her and decides to stay quiet and not tell Christian about it now. As much as he's trying not to show how upset he is, Perrie knows that he doesn't need this on top of everything. The police is going to tell them anyway. That'll give Wendy one more reason to hate Perrie even more.

"Alright.. I'll go home.." - she says. "But you'll call me..."

"I will.."

When Perrie's dad comes back, he takes her and Debbie home. Debbie kept asking her if she's alright, if she's hungry, but she only answered with 'I'm fine'. Neither of her parents believed her, but they didn't push her.

As soon as they got home, Debbie walked Perrie to her room. Perrie takes off Alex's bloody jacket and throws it on the floor, immediately tearing up as she throws herself on the bed. Debbie sighs quietly as she picks up in the jacket and puts it in a bag. They're going to need it as a kind of evidence, so she can't wash it, even if it means that the jacket will be ruined permanently. She puts it down in the corner of the room and walks over to her daughter's bed.
