TW- Some bad language, manipulation, uncomfortable touch

"Are you alright now, Forgiveness?" Patton whispered, drawing the final splintered arrow from his shimmering backside.

The spirit was hollering out in pain, gritting his teeth as he heaved a laboured breath. "Y-yes, thank you, Morality."

"Patton." He corrected, handing him a turquoise coloured quilt from his bedside table. He could only hope that hosting a movie session was the right course of action to calm the newly found spirit, Thomas's shock regarding his discovered presence and his cursed boyfriend. The spirit returned a kind smile before the pair rose into the living room, turning to see Virgil, Roman, Logan, Janus and Thomas preparing themselves for the evening ahead of them.

"Uh, hey Forgiveness," Thomas waved awkwardly. "Gee, I have to get used to having a spirit around. We're watching The Steven Universe Movie now, have you, uh, heard of it?"

"I've been chained to the attic floor for twenty-five years, what do you believe my response to that question entails?"

"Riiigghhtt," Thomas shuffled uncomfortably, shifting his gaze away.

"I hate to interrupt, but is this really the best time for a movie night, with the Spirit of Evil trying to penetrate a forcefield to murder us all?"  Virgil muttered anxiously.

"Minion Paranoia, there is nothing to worry about, we have at least two weeks to prepare as a bare minimum."

Janus swiftly covered his face with his gloved hands, snickering helplessly.

"What's so funny?" Roman snapped agitatedly.

"Minion Paranoia, the sweet scent of superiority comes flooding back. I'd give anything to be your master, you have no idea how euphoric the prospect is. Impartial to fear or judgment, the only opinion of importance my own, being a master would be a promise of my safety."

Roman vexed as he tightened his fists. "I have a question, what the actual fuck is wrong with you?"

"Hey!" Thomas raised his voice, hastily interceding the pair. "Don't fight! If you guys can't get along, then neither of you get to watch the movie, understand?"

Patton, Logan, Roman and Virgil shared a surprised glance at the authority in Thomas's voice, while Janus bowed his head. "Fine, I'll leave if you don't want me here."

"No, sit down, your trying to manipulate me with guilt and it isn't going to work!" Thomas narrowed his eyes, gesturing for Janus to sit with a firm finger on a bean bag beside Logan.

"Well played Thomas, perhaps my presence is doing you good." He wobbled nervously, hesitantly seating himself. Logan observed his seemingly vulnerable expression, clearing his throat.

"I'm rather curious by your perception of the world Janus, it's as though your deceitful actions are prompted by a desire to feel safe, rather than any malicious motivation. May I request an examination of you later this evening?"

Janus swallowed confoundedly, dubiousness clear in his eyes.  "Uh, I suppose?"

"Hello everyone!" Remus laughed manically, abruptly rising in a the living room dressed as an enormous penis. "Do you like my new onesie?"

"Gross!" Thomas gagged, turning swiftly away from the horrendous sight. "Get dressed into something normal Remus!"

"Okay, okay. Is this more to your likening?" The evil twin shrugged, changing into a cotton lime green two piece.

"Yes, thank you," Thomas breathed, watching as Remus fell to the ground in barrels of laughter. He turned to Virgil. "Quickly, let's get this movie set up before he does something weirder." Virgil nodded in agreement, swiftly pressing play on the tv remote.

Janus slinked over to Patton, sheepishly reaching for his fingers and leading him to the sofa. "Can I cuddle you?" Patton leaned against his warm chest, relaxing his muscles with a deep sigh. He vaguely scanned the flickering movie screen, listening to Janus's fleeting breaths and feeling his arms constrict snugly around his shoulders.

"Come on Virgil, sing with me!" Roman grinned, dragging his boyfriend into a stand as he serenaded. "Come live with us in the palace..."

"...There's a room waiting for you..." Virgil murmured under his breath, blushing uncontrollably.

"...Come on, come on, come on, just let us adore you." The pair harmonized softly. In a moment their lips pressed together, growing passionately until at last the pair fell clumsily to the floor in  a lumbering embrace.

" I called this back in 2017, Valentines Day." Logan smirked, stringing his hands behind his head. Remus chuckled before throwing a sexy skirt at Virgil's face and chanting, 'do him, do him, do him.'

Janus found himself removing his gloves, slowly stroking Patton's shoulders before gently caressing his throat.

"Janus, no," he whispered firmly, gulping as a strong fingers grasped his neck.

The snake planted a warm kiss on his cheek, cradling his loving arms around him. "Please let me hold your neck, it's safe, I'm not going to hurt you..."

"Please no Janus, it makes me feel unsafe." Patton stammered with pleading eyes. "Why do you even want that?"

With a reluctant exhale the snake loosened his grip, returning his gaze to the television screen. "I don't know, it just makes me feel something... we can discuss it some other time."

Patton opened his mouth to object, but his eyes fluttered closed. He was too tired to press on. "I love you."

"I'm sorry Patton," Janus murmured sorrowfully.
