Remus let out a yelp as Roman fought him off, thrusting him powerfully into the wall. Tears came straight to his eyes at the impact as he rubbed his head, protectively shielding himself with his arms.
"Remus? Remus I'm so sorry!" Roman spoke remorsefully. He glanced back at Patton through the bars, who was making swift hand gestures.
"Go, before Janus comes back. You need to re-group, and this time get Virgil to help with freeing us." Patton nodded. Logan appeared behind him, nodding along with tired, grey eyes.
"Logan, are you all good?" Roman questioned. Logan looked away, his brain playing distorted images in his mind.
Patton sighed. "He's going to be fine, he just needs to recover from whatever Deceit has done to him."
The sound of feet pattering hastily along the corridor came towards them.
"That's Janus, go!" Patton warned them alertly.
"We'll come back, I promise," Roman replied whole-heartedly. He scooped the injured Duke in his arms before swiftly leaving, just as Janus arrived on scene with blood running down his chin and they cell keys in his hands.
"Janus, stop, before you or Roman get really hurt!"
