TW: panic, trama/ sort of flashback kinda thing? (Pls enjoy, I've made this chapter long as a thank you for being so patient :)) Side note- I'm exhausted, so any errors I can not be f*cked fixing, so sorry if this isn't very good.

Logan rose into the Dark Side, obediently following the shadow's authority. Vengeance traipsed beside him, smiling wickedly.

"I prefer your company when you're stripped of your opinions," he chuckled. "Here, Deceit's laboratory."

Within the labyrinth of benches and mechanics stood a metal pole attached to a clamp stand. Logan picked the device up on command, observing its appearance with curiosity. The weapon had a barrel which it omitted an odd crackling sound and a trigger which Logan wrapped his hand around.

"Hold it with both hands," the shadow spoke slyly. "This is called a banisher. I'm surprised Deceit hadn't used it on you, it certainly would have been more effective than throwing you in a cell." He tutted his head. "Poor young snake, he obviously has more good in him than he'd admitted to me all those years ago."

Logan nodded, gripping it tightly. "Who shall I use it on?"

The shadow sneered. "All of them. I want each and every side to suffer in eternal exclusion, forever. Point at that moustache dirtier over there, Mindless."

Logan pointed the banisher at the bulky silver object, shooting a bright yellow ray and zapping it brightly. The dirtier instantly shrunk and disappeared in less than a heartbeat, leaving a gold aurora in its wake.

"Good boy, Logic. Together we are going to destroy all the good in Thomas's mind."

"Thank you for your help Remus," Patton spoke sweetly, placing a plate in the kitchen cupboard. "You're very good at washing up for someone so dirty."

Remus laughed. "Being disgusting is just a pass time, a little intrusive play."

Patton smiled. "Do you ever have a hard time coming up with intrusive thoughts?"

"No, not really. It's harder to ignore them." He admitted.

"What do you mean?" Patton wondered. "Do you have to ignore your own thoughts?"

"Well, not so much. But I have to refrain from saying what I think in front of everyone."

Patton tilted his head, scanning Remus's indifferent expression. "I guess that's something difficult for you to deal with now that you're not in the Dark Side."

"Oh, no, I wasn't allowed there either, unless I got permission from Father." he explained with a laugh.

"So you've always repressed those thoughts?" Patton questioned. "Does that hurt you at all?"

Remus was stunned. He'd never been asked his opinion on the matter, only expected to follow the code his guardian set. "No, it's fine, a little frustrating at worst."

"Aren't intrusive thoughts a part of who you are?"

"Yes, but I can resist," he argued back. "It's like asking Roman not to sing. It's a little annoying for him, but he can do it just fine with no harm done."

Patton nodded understandingly. "Well, maybe we can compromise. You can tell a few jokes after dinner tomorrow, if you would like."

Remus's eyes lit up. "Really? You would let me?"

"Off course! We all have compromised habits; you should be able to express yours too from time to time."

"Thank you," Remus replied sincerely. "That's really nice."
