"Let's begin with our.... featured presentation!" Roman spoke extravagantly.

Thomas smirked, pulling out his computer and scanning an old file script.

"Okay, so I need to call up Joan so he can help edit, and Talen to help with that costume we need. She said she had a pink cape we could borrow, right?" Thomas looked up from his screen, noticing that Roman was absently staring into the distance. "Roman, are you okay?'

"Oh, yes," he spoke quickly. "And don't forget that we need to call up Lee and Mary Lee to invite them to dinner next week."

Thomas nodded, continuing to float through his contacts when suddenly...

"Oh." Thomas clutched his stomach, a sudden anxiety seeping into his abdomen. Roman watched him concernedly, his eyes wide.

"Is everything alright?"

Thomas shook his head. "Anxiety."

Roman paled. Is Deceit back? Are Patton and Logan hurt?

Virgil burst into the imagination palace, worry smothering his face. "Roman, Roman," he repeated, shaking and fearful. Roman ran up to him, abruptly feeling protective and distressed. He embraced him tightly, speaking into his ear.

"Shh, calm down, Virgil, what happened?" Virgil let out a short scream, covering his face in his hands.

Thomas was gasping for air, doing everything he could to combat the terrible feelings suffocating his lungs. He looked up again and saw Patton, who rose up and instantly wrapped his arms around Virgil.

"Son calm down, please, I'm okay!"

"what happened?" Roman inquired seriously. Patton took several deep breaths before answering. "I told him something that happened with Deceit yesterday."

"What?" Thomas spoke with alarm.

Roman didn't know what to do. Between a depressed Remus, confounded Thomas, troubling Patton and panicking Virgil he was completely flummoxed.

Without thinking  he swiftly rose into Logan's room, so overwhelmed he momentarily forgot that he too was unable to offer assistance.

"Please, I have nowhere else to turn." Roman begged, curling up onto the ground and crying.
