"Remus, can you hear me?" Roman spoke gravely, shaking his brother's shoulder. A soft groan escaped his lips as he opened his eyes, before he let out a playful laugh.

"Just like old times, remember? We should do this more often." He sat up on the couch, grinning elatedly.

Roman breathed a sigh of relief. "He's fine everyone."

Thomas smiled with bags under his eyes, turning to Virgil. "You okay, bud?"

Virgil nodded, before surprising everyone and crouching down to Remus's side. "Remus, listen, I know you and Janus are close, but-"
"Don't worry, I'm done with fighting alongside a snake. I'd much prefer to help my ex brother, and my real brother." He winked.

"Ex brother?" Thomas questioned, rubbing the back of his head.

"Believe it or not, there was once a time when Virgil considered himself my brother. How funny is that, Anstey Pants?" Remus wrapped his arms around Virgil, who hesitantly returned the gesture. Remus leaned into his ear, whispering softly so only he could hear.

"I'm sorry. I never should have sided with Father; I should have stood beside my brother like the hero you needed. I was just scared he'd hurt me the way he hurt you, and staying on his safe side was the cowards' way out. Forgive me?"

Virgil nodded, smiling briefly before standing up and returning to his hunched posture with his hood over his head.

"So what's the plan exactly?" Anxiety pointed out. "We need to get Patton and Logan free, and for that we need the keys." Thomas yawned exhaustedly, sitting down beside Remus on the couch.

"Can we sleep first? I'm exhausted, and it's four in the morning."

Virgil sighed, nodding his head. "Yeah, Sanders is right. I think we're all pretty exhausted. But what if Deceit turns up whilst we're asleep?"

"Leave that to me, Emo Dude," Roman grins. "This prince doesn't need his beauty sleep."
