TW- Distress, Panic, Aggression

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logan could feel his fear rising, but did his best to sustain the logical thoughts in his head. Roman is safe to be with...

"Roman, are you okay?" The Prince didn't respond, only sobbed harder. Logan slowly sunk to his knees, wrapping Roman in a warm hug. It admittedly felt strange to him to be creating this kind of mutual physical connection.

"Logan, I need you. Patton and Deceit have done something, I don't know what, Thomas is freaking out, Virgil is having a panic attack, Remus is depressed, please, I need help."

Logan cocked his head. "Remus?"

"Yeah, he's joined us now. Anyway, please, Thomas needs you."

Logan nodded, straightening his tie. "I'm sure we can Logic our way out of this one. Where is everyone?"
"The imagination palace." The two swiftly rose, Logan clearing his throat before calling out loudly.

"Everyone, calm down!" Patton, Virgil and Thomas all fell silent, shock blazing their faces.

Virgil stood up with red eyes, running up to Logan and throwing his arms around him. Logan held his breath in pain, struggling against the panic of his mind. Virgil is dangerous, Virgil dangerous...

"No!" Logan shouted, shoving him forcefully away. Virgil staggered back, landing uncoordinatedly back in Roman's arms.

Roman felt Anxiety's body fall against his torso, sweeping and latching his own limbs beneath Virgil's arm pits in a trust fall position. He glanced over his shoulder and into his nervous eyes, his body tingling all over.

There was something in those eyes Roman hadn't noticed before, a gaze which reminded him of a field mouse searching the grass in angst. There was fear, vulnerability, and a certain love and beauty which sent his cheeks blushing.

Virgil stammered after a few moments of non-verbal attraction. "Princey, Can you...?"
"Oh, sorry!" He lifted him to his feet, embarrassment clear on his face. Virgil rolled his eyes, he too blushing beneath his foundation. What the hell was that?

Logan inhaled sharply, straightening his shirt. "Apologies Virgil, I wasn't ready."

Virgil wasn't sure entirely what he meant, but didn't reply. Instead, Thomas murmured with a faint quaver.

"What is going on? Why is Virgil panicking?"

Logan turned to Virgil, who ran his fingers nervously through his hair. "Patton said, Deceit tried to... he tried to... strangle..."

Logan felt his face tighten in anger. That snake had destroyed his mind, poisoned him, and now he was endangering Patton's life!?

"No, no, no!" Patton howled. "He didn't hurt me, I swear, it was an accident!"

Logan outstretched his hand, pushing his palm against his friend's chest. He put his body between the pair, taking a deep breath. "Stop, everything is going to be okay." Patton bit his lip, trying to control the tears coming to his eyes. "I want Virgil to first explain his side of the story, then you get yours say." He nodded to Virgil who began to stammer.

"Patton told me and Roman that he visited Deceit last night," he explained to Logan. "but this morning he said that when he saw him Deceit was injured with a swollen chin and bruised fingers, and that he shoved him into the wall and wrapped a hand around his neck."

Patton shook his head strongly, shakily answering back. "No, that's not-"

"Is that not what happened?" Logan adjusted his glasses, meeting Morality's darting gaze.

"N-no! –Well yes, b-but not like that! We talked, and I helped him treat his injuries, but I think I triggered him and he responded... well, he did put his hand around my neck-" he touched his throat instinctively, "But only for a moment, then he let me go!"

Logan couldn't remain impartial for a moment longer, Patton was going to be destroyed. "Patton that devil of a snake is going to end your life!" He screamed. Everyone gasped in shock, surprised that Logan would act like this. "He tied me to a chair, poisoned me, traumatized my mind, threw us both into a cell, and yet somehow you think he's safe?!"

Patton burst into tears on the spot, rising into Deceit's room. The snake glanced up from the journal in his hands, a brief moment of shock jostling his face.

"Janus, please, i'm in so much trouble, everyone hates me." Janus jumped up and grasped Patton's face in his bandaged hand, wiping the grime and tears from around his eyes.

"What in hell, are you okay?"
